Formerly high-class sprinter but has been way out of sorts in recent times. Beaten in a seller last time and others preferred. Stable also runs Fast Track and B Fifty Two and won this in 2016 and 2017 (with the same horse).
Infrequent winner nowadays with a losing run stretching back to January 2017. Makes stable debut after being beaten in a seller last time.
Sole win from 23 starts came in an Irish maiden back in July 2018 when trained by Joseph O'Brien. Racing to a consistent level of late with four thirds in a row. Gets a chance now dropping in grade.
Sole success and best other efforts have come at Musselburgh. 1lb lower than that win and now down in grade but needs to improve on latest two performances.
Useful sprinter at his peak, now on the downgrade but at least comes here in form from his last five efforts. Proving reliable and likely to be involved again.
Still looking for his first win after nine starts. Hit the frame a couple of times as a two-year-old. Missed the whole of his three-year-old campaign and better for two runs back when second off this mark on Friday. Similar conditions again.
Hood that has been on for all four starts this year has been removed and he's down in grade. 5lb lower than sole win but his form hasn't been near that level since.
Finished third of 13 runners on his two starts at Musselburgh in May to suggest he is close to scoring but was then down the field here over 6f when a beaten favourite. Each-way claims on drop back in distance.
Gained an overdue third career win at Beverley two starts back and not disgraced last time. Remains on a good mark and handles any conditions. Could be competitive again.
8lb lower than when springing a 25/1 shock at Leicester (5f, good to firm) last June; 0-15 since and has shown no signs of a return to form in 2019.
Narrowly defeated off 2lb lower in this contest last year, under the same rider and fast conditions suit once again. Needs to leave two poor runs behind.
Finished a well held fifth in this race last year off 6lb higher. Sole win from 56 starts was gained in 2014 and was out of form at the end of last year. Easy to oppose following an absence.
Veteran scored over this C&D way back in 2010 and without a win since 2015. Missed nearly three years of racing until well beaten on recent stable debut in a selling handicap. Readily opposed.
Modest 20-race maiden and tailed off when failing to beat a rival in both starts this year. Back down in trip and very hard to make a case for.
Never threatened at all last season and his fourth of five in a seller on his reappearance is probably as good as he is nowadays. Best to look elsewhere.
Forecasts
Mr Greenlight (7/2), National Glory (9/2), Burmese Blazer (11/2), B Fifty Two (6/1), Oriental Splendour (7/1), Mr Shelby (9/1), Jeffrey Harris (10/1), Robot Boy (12/1), Brendan (25/1), Fast Track (28/1), Teepee Time (33/1), Red Forever (66/1), Raise A Billion (66/1), Ya Boy Sir (80/1), Zizum (100/1)
NATIONAL GLORY has proven very reliable without winning of late but this drop in grade and good draw presents him with an excellent opportunity. The veteran B Fifty Two can also go well again for a stable with a good recent record in this race. Mr Greenlight may pose the biggest danger after a much improved effort just two days ago and remains open to progress.
- National Glory
- Mr Greenlight
- B Fifty Two
