Cheekpieces seemed to do the trick when good second in 1m Wolverhampton handicap on latest start. Only raised 1lb for that and has the assistance of headgear once again. Notable runner.
Model of consistency for this yard and wasn't disgraced when fifth of 17 at Beverley (1m, good) last time but placed in three starts before then. Back on his last winning mark and holds every chance in these conditions.
Winner here in April but has failed to replicate that form in four starts since, most recently when well-beaten eighth at Beverley last month. Claims on April success but vulnerable to some opponents.
Bounced back to form when only beaten by a nose in 7f Lingfield handicap in late June. But only 1lb mark which saw him land a four-timer last season and is 1-1 over this trip.Leading contender.
Successful over 1m at Kempton in April and was touched off in similar event at Bath last time out. Only raised 1lb and looks to be coming into form. One for the shortlist.
Filly whose been in cracking for this yard, notching four wins from six starts, including short-head success in 1m Bath handicap in early June. Handicapper has been lenient to her and is 3/5 under this rider. Strong claims.
Landed 1m2f Irish claimer last August but has shown very little since. Uninspiring debut for new yard when distant last in 6f Wolverhampton handicap in March and makes return in this. Offers little appeal.
Modest form last season but has shown nothing of the sort this year and was most recently 11th of 15 at Nottingham (6f, good). Steps up to 1m for the first time but is bred for sprinting. Opposable.
Only one run to take note of when second at Kempton two starts ago and was never in contention when eighth on handicap debut at Yarmouth (1m, good) in May. Off a likeable handicap mark but plenty to prove.
Struggled for form since AW Newcastle success in November and struggled on turf reappearance at Nottingham (1m2f, good) a month ago. That form isn't good enough and likely to struggle.
16-race maiden and hasn't replicated the form she showed in Ireland. Needed the run when eighth in 1m Hamilton handicap last time but has plenty to prove.
11 race maiden who has been way out of form and was last in 1m Chelmsford handicap on latest start. Looks to be regressive and makes little appeal.
Showed some signs of a revival when 25/1 fourth in Chepstow handicap (7f, good) 12 days ago. Remains on the same mark and could go well for a place.
Very little to offer in six starts to date and returned to the turf when last at Chepstow (7f, good) last time out. Looks to be way out of her depth.
Forecasts
Takeonefortheteam (7/2), Princess Way (9/2), Straight Ash (5/1), Foreign Legion (5/1), Ghazan (7/1), Cape Cyclone (11/1), False Id (12/1), Quarto Cavallo (12/1), My Society (20/1), Little Choosey (25/1), Summer Angel (25/1), Vicky Cristina (28/1), Dragon Girl (33/1), Dancing Jaquetta (50/1)
A muddling handicap ends the days proceedings but the likeable PRINCESS WAY can continue to thrive in this company. She hasn't been treated badly for her Bath success in similar conditions and has formed a good partnership with her jockey and is the one to beat. Foreign Legion was only narrowly denied last time and makes a quick reappearance. His lenient mark means he will be thereabouts once again, while Straight Ash has been ultra consistent and is likely to run his usual race under a good young claimer.
