16-1 winner on debut at Doncaster (5f, good) in April and backed that up with a solid run in the Lily Agnes at Chester (second); tackles a new trip in a nursery after finishing down the field (17th of 21) in the Windsor Castle.
Off the mark at the fifth attempt (tongue-tied) when rallying to beat Partridge by a nose at Salisbury (5f maiden) latest; returns to action from a seven-week break.
A consistent filly who has taken her chances when presented; arrives seeking a hat-trick following successive 6f wins at Nottingham (soft) and Doncaster (good); has previous with Lili Wen Fach; it's entirely possible that she'll be in the mix.
His standout best effort came when finishing 2¾L second to the unbeaten Al Aakif in a 5f Nottingham maiden (good); far less convincing behind a stablemate at Hamilton latest; the jury is still out with regards his effectiveness over 6f.
Night Of Thunder filly; has improved race by race during the early months of her racing career; always towards the fore, running on for pressure when winning by ½L on her first attempt at this trip at Carlisle (good to firm) last week; interesting.
By Dandy Man; went close on his second start when just held (short-head) by the front-running Rodnee Tee (5f, Beverley); disappointing on good to soft ground when last in competitive action at Ripon 57-days ago; off since; gelded.
Has previous with a few of today's rivals including Gin Gembre and Go Well Spicy, beating the latter by ¾L at Chepstow (5f, good to soft) in June; runner-up in the valuable Rous Selling Stakes at York (6f) latest.
Pacy and is improving with racing; always prominent, displaying a good attitude when fending off the late challenge of a luckless Hot Touch at Thirsk (6f, good to soft) 18-days ago; this race appears to be a shade more competitive.
Casamento gelding who didn't show a great deal of promise on his first couple of starts; much better when finishing 2½L fourth to Miss Matterhorn at Lingfield (7f, good) a fortnight ago; others are more persuasive.
Stablemate of Corndavon Lad; regularly misses the break which probably accounts for her struggles (0-4); beaten just over 6½L when finishing fourth of nine to Know No Limits at Chester (6f, soft) latest; first start on a sound surface.
Forecasts
Keep Busy (7/4), Go Well Spicy (7/2), Havana Dawn (5/1), Lili Wen Fach (7/1), Iva Reflection (12/1), Gin Gembre (12/1), Dark Optimist (14/1), Lexi The One (20/1), Corndavon Lad (22/1), Craigburn (28/1)
The conundrum of the nursery season has arrived and primarily that tells us we're rattling through the Flat season. In truth this race is a bit of a guessing game so the safest advice is to follow the market moves. The likes of Lili Wen Fach and Go Well Spicy are similarly weighted and it's not difficult to see why when examining their previous clash at Chepstow, but it's also worth pointing out that the latter is 2-2 since upped to 6f. However, the selection is the Carlisle winner KEEP BUSY who kept on galloping up the hill despite racing keenly from an early stage. She should have more too offer for a trainer who is 1-7 with his Haydock nursery runners since 1997.
- Keep Busy
- Go Well Spicy
- Lili Wen Fach
