Consistent throughout his entire racing career (often in sellers and claimers for Richard Fahey) he really deserves to win another race, although there's no guarantee that it'll be today; 2L runner-up to Texting at Yarmouth (5f) last week.

Won for Dean Ivory at Southwell (5f) on New Year's Day; well beaten on both starts for this trainer, including at Musselburgh (5f) on Tuesday; has no chance whatsoever of reversing C&D form with Celsius.

Forecasts

Vee Man Ten (11/4), Celsius (7/2), Mr Buttons (9/2), True Hero (9/2), Diamonique (13/2), Dream House (8/1), Swiss Chime (100/1)

Verdict

The form horses True Hero, Vee Man Ten and Celsius all appreciate racing close to the pace so identifying the likeliest winner isn't an easy task. All three are perfectly capable horses, with the Tom Clover-trained runner boasting previous C&D winning form. On that occasion he had DREAM HOUSE (fifth) and Swiss Chime (last of 13) in behind. However, with pace guaranteed here and some natural progression since, the Easterby runner could prove capable of reversing that form. Evidently Dream House is no superstar, but his recent Redcar win is probably stronger form than it initially appeared at the time, owing to the runner-up Hard Solution scoring twice since.
  1. Dream House
  2. Celsius
  3. True Hero
