Only had to run to his official rating to open his account in a Musselburgh maiden and looked a real handful when a beaten favourite at Redcar. Drops to a mile for this and could yet be good enough if concentrating more.

Won two of his first three races last year and was initially rated 92. The ground has been against him on last two starts, but his mark has dropped another couple of pounds. Stable in form and, with fast conditions likely, he looks one to consider.

Showed good form when runner-up over this trip at Newcastle in January. Step back up in trip should suit following decent placed efforts over 6f on last two outings.

Cheekpieces had the desired effect when scoring at Newmarket after a couple of disappointing performances. Up 7lb in a better race on quicker ground and that looks tough based on what he's done.

Came off a good pace to score impressively at Chelmsford and looked unlucky in another fast run race at Lingfield in May. Not so good in two starts since, but should get a truer pace here and the extra furlong will help. Has an each-way shout.

Runner-up in a valuable nursery at Newmarket last autumn but has been poor in all three outings in 2019. Visor applied but hard to be confident he can exploit his new mark.

Forecasts

Cape Victory (9/4), Akwaan (11/4), You Little Ripper (3/1), Battle Of Waterloo (6/1), Prairie Spy (8/1), Kuwait Station (9/1), Noble Account (16/1), Watchmyeverymove (22/1)

Verdict

Fast ground is key to KUWAIT STATION who looked set for a return to winning ways at Haydock in May when unlucky in running and finishing third. The runner-up has scored since whilst his two subsequent runs have been on unsuitably slow surfaces. Akwaan responded to cheekpieces when scoring last time but this will be harder. You Little Ripper may improve for the return to a mile and Battle Of Waterloo could spring a surprise if getting a good pace to aim at. Cape Victory has made the running on his last two starts, scoring at Musselburgh and then making the frame at Redcar, but he has looked in need of headgear and it remains to be seen if he is mature enough to get the job done.
