Scored on heavy ground on debut and the runner-up has scored twice since. Had an unfavourable draw at Royal Ascot and he is bred to do better on today's anticipated faster surface. Holds a Group 1 entry and stable won this last year.
Dirt bred colt who showed some promise on his Chelmsford debut. Attracted some support that day but facing stronger opposition this time.
70,000 gns son of Starspangledbanner and the second foal of an unraced dam. Debuts for a yard who are 7-122 with turf juveniles on turf in last five seasons.
Only beat one home on debut when easy to back and racing with the choke out early on. Tongue-tie applied here but needs to improve a lot.
Sepoy half-brother to Nampara who has won a couple of minor races for this yard. Appears to be aiming high here on debut.
85,000 gns breeze-up purchase who is a full-brother to a winner in Cyprus and half-brother to two AW winners. Yard are having a quiet year with just one winner so far.
Sixth on Newmarket debut at odds of 66/1 when beaten a total of 16L. It has been a long time since his yard had a juvenile winner and a place on the podium may be the best he can compete for here.
Cost 10,000 gns as a two-year-old and is a half-brother to 7f-1m winner Choral Music. Made no show here on debut when 50/1 and needs to step up considerably.
Half-brother to three winners, including the useful Summer Fall and Areos. Only beat one home on debut and this looks even harder to win.
Sent off favourite for debut but could only manage seventh place. Looks held by Exciting Days on that form and he has been well held since at Newmarket.
By Poet's Voice and the fist foal of a dam who was placed on the AW. Stable 5-9 with their turf juveniles in 2019 so the market ought to be informative.
Forecasts
Iffraaz (7/4), Villain's Voice (15/8), Incinerator (6/1), Little Brown Trout (12/1), Kassab (14/1), Order Of St John (16/1), Exciting Days (20/1), Golden Dragon (25/1), Thomas Lanfiere (25/1), Star Of St Louis (100/1), Just Norman (100/1)
IFFRAAZ holds an entry in the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes and, having beaten Hurstwood (won twice since) on debut, he found himself drawn on the wrong side at Royal Ascot when a leading fancy. The better ground and easier opposition should make him tough to beat. Villain's Voice looks the most interesting of the newcomers, given his yard's rate of success with juveniles this term, but the rest appear to face a tough task.
- Iffraaz
- Villain's Voice
- Incinerator
