AW record of 4-15 and 0-5 on turf. You have to go back to 2016 for her last victory from a mark above 60 so she has a fair bit to prove.
Without a win since 2017. Five of his last six successes have come at Hamilton as did his best run of 2019. Drops to a mark below 60 for the first time.
Hit a purple patch a year ago scoring over C&D and then finishing third in this corresponding race. Has only finished ahead of another rival on one occasion since.
Has barely beaten a rival in his last four starts and blinkers failed to inspire last time. Brought down to 5f but hard to make a case for.
Has done most of his racing on AW but his career best efforts have come on turf when conditions were testing. Well-handicapped on those efforts if coping with faster ground and overcoming a five month break.
Had little chance at the weights in a seller last time but best judged on her previous efforts off similar marks to today's. Has been running mainly over 6f but worth a try at this trip as she has not been lasting home.
Has shown speed but has been weak at the business end in her four starts to date. Stable yet to hit top gear and probably best watched.
15-race maiden who hit the frame for the first time at Brighton a month ago. Beaten 5½L that day and work to do here from out of the weights.
Ran well from out of the weights last time but has to do even better here without an apprentice's claim to offset the disadvantage.
Related to an AW winner and his two best efforts have come on artificial surfaces. Has shown some speed on his last two starts but ultimately has beaten few home.
Forecasts
Precious Plum (9/4), Haveoneyerself (7/2), Sussudio (6/1), Clipsham Tiger (7/1), Bronze Beau (8/1), Swell Song (12/1), Tilsworth Rose (14/1), Tina Teaspoon (16/1), Quanah (33/1), Awake In Asia (33/1)
The Wallis pair, Awake In Asia and Precious Plum, have questions to answer and Bronze Beau seems to save his best for Hamilton. Haveoneyerself hit a purple patch here a year ago and, although poor since, a market move would be interesting. SUSSUDIO had no chance at the weights last time but her previous efforts look good enough and she looks ready to do better over this shorter trip.
- Sussudio
- Awake In Asia
- Haveoneyerself
