Good form in pair of 6f events; winning on Newmarket debut then 8L fourth in Epsom's Woodcote Stakes behind Royal Ascot winner Pinatubo. Probably didn't handle the track then but still a fair run and now looks ready for this step up to 7f.

270,000 gns yearling. Fifth foal, half-brother to three winners including 1m Listed winner Fox Power. Pedigree makes him very interesting on debut and one to note in market.

Tailed off last of seven on debut at 80/1 and then refused to enter stalls on latest intended start. Needs to improve dramatically to play a part.

£48,000 yearling. Second foal of a dam who was a maiden in France. Yard perfectly capable of readying a newcomer so worth a precautionary note in betting.

Third foal. Half-brother to very smart Cascadian who won at this trip on debut and was runner up in French group 1 at 1m last year. Top stable enjoying a fantastic run with their two-year-olds and makes plenty of appeal on paper.

70,000 gns yearling. Third foal of dam who won in Italy from 1m to 1m3f. Leading stable 20-85 with their two-year-olds this season. Certainly worth noting in market.

Forecasts

Imperial Empire (4/6), Thunderous (5/1), Dancinginthewoods (5/1), Always Fearless (8/1), Breathalyze (14/1), Grouseman (25/1), Cipango (33/1), Green Book (40/1), Bad Rabbit (66/1)

Verdict

A race where the betting should reveal plenty but with the Charlie Appleby yard having such a run with their two-year-olds , it may pay to side with his IMPERIAL EMPIRE to emulate his dam and get off the mark at the first time of asking. Always Fearless is the other newcomer who makes lots of appeal and he rates the main danger though Dancinginthewoods has run well both starts and sets a fair standard.
  1. Imperial Empire
  2. Always Fearless
  3. Dancinginthewoods
