Ex-French trained maiden made a promising start for connections when second on AW at Wolverhampton but was tailed off 10th of 11 latest back on turf. Sure that wasn't her true running and could easily bounce back.
Just the one win last July but catches the eye that he is now 7lb lower. Uninspiring return at Leicester tempers enthusiasm somewhat but with Murphy aboard one would expect a great deal better now.
Dual 1m winner last season showed he gets 1m4f when a close third of 17 at Doncaster in March but two runs since at Brighton and Goodwood have been less compelling. Others preferred.
One of the best bred horses in training and belatedly got off the mark at the fourth time of asking in a three-year-old only handicap at Ripon over this trip latest. 12lb hike for that steep but was vastly impressive so could overcome it.
7¼L third to subsequently Group Two placed Eagles by Day in second start looks smart form in this company and perhaps subsequent disaapointment can be attributed to soft ground. Opening handicap mark looks fair so respected here.
Hinted at promise for Aidan O'Brien last year but two races for this yard over 1m this season done little to impress. Up vastly in trip now and his pedigree suggests it will help so could leave earlier form behind.
Backed in from 25/1 to 12/1 when getting off the mark latest in a 1m4f Doncaster handicap winning by a neck in the end. Only upped 2lb for that which looks very lenient so his chance to follow up is clear.

Going up 12lb for winning a small race at Ripon may have been a little harsh but FAYLAQ a son of Arc/King George heroine Danedream could hardly have been more impressive and all of a sudden looks a horse with scope for massive improvement now over his dam's favoured trip. West Newton rates the principle threat having won well at Doncaster and only going up 2lb for the score. Upped 4f in trip The Corporal could be an attractive each-way proposition providing all eight stand their ground with him likely the outsider of the field.
