Not always easy to predict, but lightly raced for his age and comes here in form with a win and two good runs from three starst this term. Will handle any ground, has gone up another 3lb following close second at Newmarket (6f, good to firm; 9-1).

Best over this trip, going close at Doncaster and Newmarket (both good to firm) this term before lesser efforts in tough races at Ascot and Goodwood. Approaching a workable mark, but must bounce back.

Didn't get a clear run in the Dash at Epsom but was winding up with a challenge near the finish; still 6lb above his last winning mark and will need things to fall just right.

Won twice over 6f as a juvenile, but was below the pick of his form when 7¼L sixth of 12 to Khaadem in a 6f Listed race at Newbury on his return. Fair effort since in handicap at Newmarket, likely needs career-best now.

Picked up three wins last season in small-field events, back within a pound of previous win-mark now but hasn't come close to best form in three starts this term.

Swiss Spirit gelding was progressive in 2018, winning three times over 5f/6f. Has found it tough in handicaps at Epsom and Goodwood this term however and looks up against it again on form.

Hit and miss performer, made pleasing start this term, building on Ascot second (5f, good to firm) with Newmarket win (5f, good; 11-4f). Well held since in Epsom Dash, eased by assessor and should find this more to his liking.

Kyllachy colt ran well over the minimum trip here three weeks ago to be close second despite traffic problems. Runs from an unchanged mark and extra furlong isn't a concern for previous 6f winner.

Oeil De Tigre17

Experienced eight-year-old, three times a winner at Goodwood (5f/6f) around this time last year but winless since and hasn't really been shaping that well. Drops to within 1lb of previous win-mark now.

Forecasts

Louie de Palma (3/1), Naughty Rascal (3/1), Green Power (6/1), Open Wide (7/1), Sunsprite (7/1), Daschas (7/1), Mountain Peak (12/1), Victory Angel (12/1), Erissimus Maximus (16/1), Count Otto (20/1), Oeil De Tigre (33/1), Fly The Nest (33/1)

Verdict

Daschas is certain to find this less taxing after running last time in the Epsom Dash and a big effort could be in the offing but preference is for NAUGHTY RASCAL. He was narrowly beaten over the minimum distance here last time and should be right at home over this extra furlong. Louie de Palma has found his mojo lately and needs considering while Victory Angel is another with prospects.
  1. Naughty Rascal
  2. Daschas
  3. Louie de Palma
