Comes here on a four-timer following a hat-trick of wins since April. Looks to have been given a favourable mark on handicap debut and is likely to continue his improvement in this company.

Has failed to build on a Naas maiden win in November and races 5lb below initial handicap mark. No surprise to see the Galileo colt bounce back to winning days here for respected connections.

Off the mark for connections at the third time of asking in a Gowran Park maiden over a similar trip last month. Should be a leading contender on handicap debut.

Five-race maiden on turf with the colt deserving a change of fortune following a number of solid and consistent runs since April. Open to significant improvement.

Won on his third career start at Leopardstown over 7f but has failed to inspire in a couple of subsequent efforts including on seasonal debut in April. First-time visor may not be the answer.

Four-race maiden, disappointed on seasonal debut at Tipperary earlier this month. More significant improvement needed on handicap debut.

Off the mark for connections at the fourth attempt in a Cork maiden last month. Ran well in defeat on handicap debut at Leopardstown earlier this month and can once again give a good account of himself here.

Forecasts

Basic Law (5/2), Killourney (3/1), Turnberry Isle (9/2), Balefire (5/1), Jupiter Road (7/1), Motashakel (12/1), Peruvian Lily (25/1)

Verdict

it's hard to get away from the chances of BASIC LAW making his handicap debut in this company. The Ger Lyons-trained son of Lawman comes here on a four-timer and will possibly have enough in hand to hold of the potential challengers in the shape of Killourney, winner last month at Gowran Park and the Godolphin-owned, Balefire.

  2. Killourney
  3. Balefire
