Will no have had as many trainers as he has starts having won a heavy ground minor event in 2016 over 5f when with Sylvester Kirk; has only run once since. Looks a difficult sort to train and will surely need the run here; looks vulnerable.

Had some fair form when he started his career in 2017 but remains a maiden and looks to be more regressive than progressive. Started to look an increasingly hard ride; looked laboured when last seen; now tried in first-time cheekpieces.

Has so far made little impact in two starts separated by a three-month break fading badly twice over 6f the latest outing coming at Windsor. Little encouragement in his latest start and can only be watched for now despite a good draw.

Showed only the odd glimmer of form when with George Baker; looked at her best on the AW in low-grade handicaps. Has moved stables now after a long break and there has been little promise in three handicap starts all over further than 6f.

Achieved a reasonable level of form in two French starts when with Francis-Henri Graffard but ran poorly after a year off on debut for this yard. Dropped away quickly at Windsor (6f, soft); faces a stiff task from a low draw; readily passed over.

Made a belated debut recently having been an expensive Breeze-Up purchase (€240,000) last year showing some ability over 6f at Salisbury (in need of experience). Kept on nicely and will improve (will have to turn around form with Real Smooth).

Withdrawn on his intended debut (broke out the stalls) in April he's only shown limited ability in two starts the first over 1m and the second over today's trip. Did little better than his debut first time out and looks set to struggle once more.

Failed to improve from his debut as a juvenile; once again failed to match his initial effort on his first start this season (needed the run); both those starts at 7f (debut at 6f). Fared much better back at 6f last time unfortunate not to win.

Got his career off to an inauspicious start on the AW here over 7f virtually refusing to race (lost all chance at the start). Given that display he's hard to support; has been gelded since, one to be wary of.

Made a belated debut (bred to be a sharp juvenile) on the AW at Chelmsford over 6f with little anticipation in the market (started 33-1). Not surprisingly needed the experience although not knocked about and should improve.

Had wind surgery after his only outing as a juvenile; looks to be something of a slow burner this season; ran his best race this term at Salisbury last time out. Form is modest enough though; looks as though he would appreciate a return to 7f.

Definitely showed that he was going the right way as a juvenile improving with each of his three runs (last two on the AW). Well backed on his return this year at Windsor (ran a little below-par) but wasn't beaten far with Gambon one place ahead.

Stepped up on her initial effort with a sound second at Windsor (6f, good/firm when taking the runner-up slot (Gambon and Ricochet in third and fourth). That indicated a small race was within her compass; unfortunate with the draw here though.

Returns to action off a fair absence having had just the one run so far in a minor event over 7f at Kempton as a juvenile. Pedigree holds some appeal but expected to need this further experience and will be of more interest in handicaps.

Only modest on her debut last December having been bough unraced from John Gosden's yard she was much improved after six months off over 7f at Kempton recently. Unconsidered in the market (50-1) she ran a fine third; now has to repeat that form.

Previously with Henry Candy this will be her initial outing for this yard returning from her winter break. Did show more on her second outing last year but looks the sort who needs to be brought along steadily; best watched for now.

Verdict

Another straight track event to close the card where the draw may once again play a part with high numbers favoured. This has gone to a three-year-old in the last two years on both occasions the winner being the favourite. Three of the likely principals met at Windsor last time with Alliseeisnibras finishing runner up beating GAMBON and Ricochet but given a decent draw Eve Johnson Houghton’s charge may well be able come out the best of that trio this time around. Real Smooth comes from last year’s winning stable and must be respected although he may need further to be seen at his best. Lapidary also enters the equation but does have to prove that she can run to the same level as last time.
  1. Gambon
  2. Ricochet
  3. Real Smooth
