Stone Cougar (Mark Johnston) finished third at the opposite end of the country on Tuesday evening, while Lady Shanawell (Ben Haslam) had a spin over hurdles on Derby Day. Preservation has shown little ability so far, but with a pedigree which implies that this longer trip should suit she's worthy of a market check. However, the solid option is the newly-blinkered GOLD ARCH. The form of his 1m4f Wolverhampton win is working out extremely well and if replicating that effort back on turf, he should go close off a 5lb higher mark.
