Sole win was gained in 2015 though was in good heart when last seen on the Flat last autumn and should strip fitter for recent run over fences. One for the short list under top claimer.
Bit better when stepped up to 1m3f on latest. Up another 2f now and visored for the first time and that combination will need to eke out some improvement.
In top form. Followed his win here with an even better effort when close third to pair of bang in form rivals and was clear of the remainder. A repeat of that gives him a solid chance.
Narrowly beaten in big field 2 runs ago and last run can be forgiven as she was caught wide throughout and is better than that. Can expect to bounce back at a track she has form at.
Best form has been at shorter and changed hands after winning a claimer over 1m2f last time. Hasn't been at his best at this sort of trip in the past so something to prove.
Not at best of late including two runs over hurdles but was in fine form on the Flat this time last year and now below last winning mark so not one to give up on.
May have found 1m7f just too far last time but his previous third at Wetherby reads well with four future winners coming out of the race. Cheek pieces now added and few miles on the clock.
Still a maiden on turf but last run at Sligo was probably her best. Has to fully prove she stays this far.
Second in AW handicap when trained in Britain last season. Didn't show much on debut for this yard recently but the type shrewd handler does well with so may have more to come.
No great improvement when stepped up to 1m4f last time but still lightly raced and may have more to come though does need to improve.
Poor on turf on Flat though did break his duck in a hurdle last November and others preferred in what looks a hot race for the grade.
Forecasts
Time For Mabel (9/2), One Cool Poet (6/1), Universal Focus (13/2), Nobel Joshua (13/2), Percy B Shelley (7/1), Papal Count (8/1), Cache Queen (9/1), New Vocation (10/1), Gloria Thrillo (12/1), Ar Eagla Na Heagla (14/1), Sheila's Empire (25/1)
NOBEL JOSHUA is the sole three-year-old in the race and with his Wetherby run working out so well it could be worth taking a chance on him to break his duck. Plenty of dangers and One Cool Poet for his in-form yard could go well coming here off a pipe-opener over fences last week is among them along with Cache Queen .
- Nobel Joshua
- One Cool Poet
- Cache Queen
