Gone well here before now and merits consideration after bouncing back to form at Huntingdon last month. A 10lb higher mark has to be a concern but this is a modest contest. Strong support would be very convincing.
Best effort since joining her current yard was posted at Perth last month but the fact she's been dropped 2lb since underlines the worth of the form. Still a maiden and has a bit to prove now.
Unexposed in handicaps but has been consistent of late; been given a chance by the assessor but soft ground would blunt her claims.
Won a point-to-point but has taken a bit of time to adapt to hurdles; conditions should suit but the mare has a bit to find after a poor run at Exeter last time. Been off since April, so possible she'll be sharper for the run.
Has gone well at Market Rasen a couple of times this season and still open to improvement over hurdles. On a handy mark but needs to prove going left-handed suits though.
Modest handicapper on the Flat and is 0-8 over hurdles but did post her best effort for a while at Cartmel last month. This slight drop in trip can help. Dangerous to underestimate.
0-3 over hurdles and, given that she's rated just 45 on the Flat, her limitations are plain to see. Others make more appeal.
Made all to win a point-to-point last month and at least merits enough respect for a betting check. It's been a long time since his last run over hurdles though, and that form leaves a lot to be desired.
Flat form in Germany was modest and he's yet to make much progress since switching codes. Plenty to prove after finishing last at Market Rasen (well behind Catlin) earlier this month. Hard to recommend as one to follow.
0-7 over hurdles but ran with more promise last time out. More needed here but open to improvement at the trip and has a featherweight to carry. Another to monitor in the betting.

ASK CATKIN was revved up by the fitting of cheekpieces at Huntingdon last month and merits serious consideration as this isn't that much of a sterner test. A 10lb higher mark might not stop the mare in this weak company. Impressive Duke won well at Stratford yesterday - leaving all his previous form well behind. The gelding is worth considering if allowed to take his chance. Osborne Lady comes into this after a solid run at Cartmel last month and has the potential to be a party-pooper. Verina also posted an improved effort in her latest start and has a reasonable chance of making the frame if she can take another step forward today.
- Ask Catkin
- Impressive Duke
- Oborne Lady
