Colt by Invincible Spirit out of a Pivotal mare. Half-sister to Listed placed 7f winner Asheerah - dam of Irish 2,000 winner Awtaad. Plenty to like about debut run at the Curragh last month and likely to improve on that run here.

Colt by War Front out of a Galileo mare. Brother to winners, U S Navy Flag and Roly Poly. Suffered a 'blow-out' on debut at Naas last month finishing 12th of 13 beaten over 16L. Highly unlikely to run such a disappointing race here.

My Friend Stan (5/2), Never Before (11/4), Daoub (3/1), Ohio State (9/2), Secret Stash (5/1), Kocasandra (11/2), Confidence High (16/1), Dolce Sicily (33/1), Life And Strife (33/1), Mighty Mirage (50/1)

Verdict

The No Nay Never colt, NEVER BEFORE can get off the mark at the third attempt for connections in the opener. Costing 130,000 guineas as a yearling the youngster is better than his fourth at Naas last month suggests and can get the better of Curragh second, My Friend Stan who shaped well on debut three weeks ago. The Kevin Prendergast-trained, Daoub and the experienced, Kocasandra in first-time cheekpieces look capable of hitting the frame.
