Decent effort last time out over course and distance, an improvement on his reappearance run at Kempton three weeks earlier. Untested on soft ground but live chance if handling the conditions.

Worryingly well beaten on his last two starts (including once on soft ground). Had been running consistently as a two-year-old - winning just the once at Musselburgh on handicap debut. Chance on best form but maybe best watched for now.

Has been slightly progressive this season culminating in a decent win in a Lingfield handicap 12 days ago. Struggled a bit on easy ground on second start last season but a repeat of the form of her recent win should see her go close.

Inconsistent colt who has not recaptured his form of last season when running some decent races in defeat for former connections. Last outing was well below best and best watched for now.

Frustrating gelding who is very inconsistent. Ran two solid races last year at Newcastle and Lingfield over seven furlongs but disappointed the rest of the time. Untried on a soft surface. One to be wary of.

Reasonably consistent showing his best form over this trip at Kempton on his penultimate start of last season. Reasonable run on his reappearance and not without a chance.

Improved for every run last season with her best effort coming at this track over seven furlongs. Would not need to have improved much to play a leading role here but expected soft ground is an unknown.

Consistent filly who showed she handled soft ground on her racecourse debut last season at Goodwood. No reason why she will not be suited by this step up in trip and any market support would be interesting.

Not the most reliable filly but has some ability evidenced by a fair effort at Chelmsford in February. No experience on a soft surface.

Not set the world on fire on three racecourse appearances with best effort coming over a mile at Kempton. Only raced on the AW. Hard to assess here.

Generally consistent filly up to seven furlongs on the AW. No reason why she will be inconvenienced by step up to this trip but unknown is how she will handle to conditions should they remain soft as expected.

Verdict

The in-form LIAM'S LASS is taken to strike again in a race where many of the contenders have yet to race on the predicted soft surface. Purgatory has been in good form and can possibly improve on recent efforts if handling the ground. Market support for Rita's Folly would be interesting given she handles this ground and is a consistent sort.
