Broke maiden duck when scoring on hurdles debut for new yard at Tramore (2m; good) after coming over from France. Well-backed that day (sent off 5-4F) and could improve significantly on all known flat form. Intriguing contender.

Modest efforts in three runs in bumpers. Never been a factor in any of his runs since switched to hurdles either and cannot be recommended at all. Readily opposed.

Handicap chaser who has been running well in defeat this year. Has first start on the level and unlikely to trouble any of the leading contenders too much.

2-2 in NH bumpers over 2m. Recently scored at the second attempt over hurdles when staying on over 2m4f. Open to plenty of improvement as he makes debut in this sphere and is greatly feared.

Nine-year-old who makes flat debut. Similar profile to Veinard, in that he is vulnerable to rivals who are likely to hold more pace than him over this trip. Others preferred.

Produced a good effort two starts ago when third at Navan (1m5f; good). Backwards step since then when way behind Tritonix at Down Royal (1m2f; good to yielding). Should fare better now back up in trip but has plenty of work to do.

Ten-year-old who has it all to do against less exposed and far younger rivals on flat debut. Connections could well be using this as a prep for a charity race. Best watched.

Steadily improving with each run. Not very far behind Royal Illusion at Roscommmon (1m4f; good) last month but that rival was returning from a layoff so not guaranteed to be as close to her again. Still a player on first attempt at this trip.

Has been tailed off in each of her three career starts to date. Steps up from 1m4f to 1m7f now but is impossible to recommend on what she has shown so far.

Only had four starts in her life. Finished third in a Listed bumper at Cheltenham (sent off at EVS) in November before suffering an injury. Debut on the flat when runner-up over inadequate trip at Roscommon (1m4f; good). Much better expected now.

Didn't make her debut until the start of this year. Progressed with each start in bumpers, which culminated in a win at Down Royal (2m; good). Posted another good effort when runner-up to an easy winner over 1m2f. Should remain competitive.

Hinted at ability earlier in her career, but now looks to be quite regressive. Hasn't improved at all for the switch to handicaps and she is ruled out with confidence coming back from a 273-day absence.

Royal Illusion (8/11), Jerandme (5/1), Act Of God (7/1), Estijmaam (9/1), Tritonix (12/1), Aliym (14/1), Make The Switch (16/1), Veinard (20/1), Effernock Lad (40/1), King's Song (50/1), Blackyellowred (66/1), Welcometomyworld (66/1), Land Of Grace (100/1)

Verdict

An intriguing stayers' maiden to end proceedings with a variety of different profiles on show. Act Of God is the most interesting in the line-up after making a successful debut for his new yard when off the mark at Tramore. Jerandme holds a leading chance, as he holds the perfect record in bumpers (2-2) over this sort of trip and should have a lot more to offer on his flat debut. The one who is likely to take all the beating though is ROYAL ILLUSION. who is still thoroughly unexposed for a seven-year-old and has some strong bumper form to her name. She wasn't seen to best effect trip-wise when runner-up on her flat debut and can return to winning ways back up in trip.
  1. Royal Illusion
  2. Jerandme
  3. Act Of God
