Has his quirks and not the easiest to predict although he can be capable on his day. His profile best summed up by his last two runs with his Exeter second rivalling the form of his last win back in 2017 before failing to follow up at Warwick.
Found the element of consistency since his wind op over hurdles and fences with a good chasing debut at Bangor being built on last time with a win at the same venue (3m, good). Up 12lb but should cope; won with a bit in hand last time, shortlisted.
Last successful over fences in this race two years ago off a 5lb higher mark when in the middle of a golden spell. More of a barren period of late having increasingly looked one to avoid (did run a better race over hurdles last time); unpredictable.
Yet to win under Rules but returns to this sphere on the back of a good spell in points (121) before running well in the face of stiff task in a C&D hunter chase last time. Too free on that occasion; interesting returning in a handicap off this mark.
Continues his march down the weights but far from the horse that he used to be (now 12lb below his last winning mark). Recent form isn't inspiring though with his last run at Uttoxeter (2m6f, good/soft) showing very little.
Form has a very uneven feel to it; appears to appreciate his combination with today's rider; the pair well backed when completing a C&D win last September. Pulled up twice since (different riders); much better when partnership reunited last time.
Both his career victories have come here but over shorter trips (never won beyond 2m1f); his form moderate since completing the second of those wins (off a 12lb higher mark). Well below his best back from a break last time; hard sort to win with.
It took a while but she managed to break her fencing maiden last time (22nd attempt) at Newton Abbot (showed a good attitude, took advantage of rivals late errors). 6lb higher here but not ruled out now she's found some form.
Showed his first glimpse of any form over fences last time out (behind Gilly Grace; beaten 16l) although that form is very modest (bad mistake 2 out). 15lb out of the weights though and faces a stiff task even in this grade.
