Better in bumpers (showed some useful form) but hasn't really stepped forward over hurdles with her form looking rather modest overall. A Plumpton third on her penultimate start the best of her hurdles form so far; failed to perform last time.

There was some promise and a show of ability in a couple of her bumper efforts; took a switch to handicaps without a hood on to produce anything over hurdles. That run was a modest third over 2m2f; in the mix in a humble race back in novice company.

Hurdles debut having shown poor form in three bumpers looking steadily regressive from her debut. Would need to show plenty of improvement to take a hand in this; others offer much stronger claims.

Fair form in bumpers and over hurdles although yet to really take a big step forward but now makes a start for a new yard which may produce a shade more having been bought for £20,000. This looks to be one of her easiest opportunities so far.

Very little form in point-to-points having failed to complete in her first three starts in that sphere and offering little when she did complete. Makes her Rules debut but can only be watched on the evidence so far.

66/1
Very little solid form in bumpers to hang your hat on when with Mark Hoad (finished well beaten three times) but showed a little more on hurdles/stable debut. Needed the run but showed some promise (started 100-1); more needed here though.

Comfortably held on her first two bumper starts looking one for the longer term on both of those occasions. Made more of an impact than previously (more prominent in the market) last time (kept on well); could get involved on hurdles debut.

Couple of her bumper runs looked to show promise and that gave hope that she may show more over hurdles. However her debut in that sphere proved to be underwhelming (jumping none too fluent); may do better with that experience behind her.

6/1
Unfancied on her hurdles debut (50-1) at Warwick (2m, good/soft) with a hood on she looked in need of the experience; shaped far better than the result suggests. Made good late headway, keeping on well when hampered late on; interesting up in trip.

Forecasts

Jaunty Soria (11/10), Cassis De Reine (5/1), Andapa (11/2), Sitron (6/1), Tara Niece (17/2), Parisian Affair (20/1), Fu Fu (33/1), Noble Glance (66/1), Missyouatgorcombe (66/1)

Verdict

The form choice here would be Jaunty Soria who showed enough for her former yard to suggest that she was up to winning something like this and it does look one of her easiest opportunities so far. However she has had plenty of chances and faces some interesting if as yet unfulfilled types. SITRON really caught the eye on her debut and given the way she ran there and on her pedigree this test could right up her street with that experience tucked away. Other to note are the hurdling newcomer Tara Niece and the exposed but solid enough in form terms Cassis De Reine.
  1. Sitron
  2. Jaunty Soria
  3. Tara Niece
