Blinkers on for the first-time as this unexposed sort tackles soft ground for the second time (well beaten on the surface before). Gelded over the winter he won't lack for stamina at this trip but does have a bit to prove returning to the track.

Winner on the AW last year over 2m in a weak contest showing his liking for staying trips when with Harry Dunlop. Well beaten on his turf debut last month on faces softer ground here; others look to have stronger claims.

Broke her hurdling maiden recently at Cartmel and this trip should hold no fears back on the Flat with the ground not a worry either. This will be her first outing on the level since October 2017 (rated 8lb lower now); possible contender.

Lightly-raced sort who ran no sort of race when last seen at Haydock over a much shorter trip than she tries today. Despite her hurdles form she's no certainty to stay this trip especially in ground as testing as this.

Certainly showed more than she has over hurdles of late returned to the Flat last time at Ripon over 2m shaping in a very encouraging manner to finish on the heels of the leaders. On a very handy mark if she can repeat that last run; one to note.

Ex-French performer (never won there) who has taken advantage of a drop in the weights to run well the last twice over 2m at Chepstow, taking a first and second place. Best efforts have come on quicker ground though but still enters calculations.

C&D winner with conditions holding no fears for him at all (has plenty of soft/heavy ground form in both spheres). Not quite at his best over hurdles of late (made more impact last time); hard to totally rule out though.

Lightly-raced on the Flat (just four runs); made his handicap debut last time over 1m6f at Lingfield (needs a greater emphasis on stamina). Looks potentially well treated on his hurdles form if getting a real test here off a 4lb lower mark.

Comes from a stable that are always to be alive to in the market this one returns after a long absence having last been seen on the Flat over 1m4f. Conditions will hold no fears (neither will the mark) if he's ready to roll; market the best guide.

Has won over this sort of trip but that victory came on the AW and she's never encountered conditions this soft. Well beaten since she won at Wolverhampton; showed very little on her turf debut last time; easily left alone.

Elements of her last two runs on AW/turf over this sort of trip have suggested that there is more to come (she does look well handicapped) although there were signs of attitude last time. Possible she can make further impact; place chance.

Has won over this trip but that victory came in a low-grade selling handicap on Fibresand and he's failed to get anywhere near that weak form since. Beaten a long way last time on the AW; attitude appears to be getting worse (comes with risks).

Only one win to his name and that came over hurdles (2m, heavy) but there's no guarantee he'll stay this far on the Flat (first run beyond 1m4f). Runs from 1lb out the weights and others look likely to make more impact.

Produced a laboured effort in first-time cheekpieces (on the Flat) at Hamilton last week over a shorter trip (never travelling well). Out of the handicap and not one to be getting that interested in given her 0-16 career record.

Makes his handicap debut wearing first-time cheekpieces having been hammered in three minor events over shorter trips. This marathon trip may show him in a better light but that takes a leap of faith; best watched for now.

Verdict

This will be a severe test of stamina and with this being the last race the ground could be at it’s most testing that will suit Le Musee who is well handicapped on the Flat but didn’t get the test that he needs on his handicap debut last time at Lingfield. Whilst he makes plenty of appeal at the likely prices WISHING WELL is preferred having run a nice race last time at Ripon with her mark having fallen to an attractive one. Chocolate Noir and Tawseef both produced solid hurdles efforts last time and should go well back on the Flat whilst any market positivity for Mr Smith would have to be noted and respected given his connections.
