Lawman filly is a half-sister to smart 1m4f-2m2½f winner Making Miracles. One of two debutantes for trainer in this line-up and, seemingly, the choice of Rab Havlin. Likely sort on paper.
Intello filly, half-sister to useful 1m/1m½f winner Ithinkbest. Second runner for John Gosden and fair claims on paper.

Zoffany filly, not shown enough in either start to warrant support, latest when eighth of 14 in minor event at Salisbury (1m2f, good to firm; 66-1) 24 days ago (Norma runner-up).

Well-related Daughter of New Approach, never nearer second of 14 in minor event at Salisbury (1m2f, good to firm; 7/1) last month on debut. Should do better with that experience behind and player here.

Daughter of Lawman out of a 1m2f winner, didn't impress in one run last year but more like it on seasonal return at Lingfield (1m2f, good; 7-1) when runner-up in a maiden. Goes on shortlist, with winner having taken a handicap off 77 since.

Sent off 25-1 and finished fifth of 11 in Newmarket maiden (7f, good) on second start and likely can build on that run once more going up in distance.

Poet's Voice filly related to plenty winners, only seventh of eight in minor event at Chepstow (1m4f, good; 16-1) on debut 17 days ago and leaves plenty to work on for now.

Forecasts

Shrewdness (13/8), Norma (13/8), Litigious (7/1), Thakaa (10/1), Merry Vale (12/1), Monaafasah (14/1), Caen Na Coille (16/1), Mousebird (25/1), Voice Of Salsabil (50/1)

Verdict

These could prove to be a useful bunch of fillies with the likes of Norma, Thakaa and Monaafasah boasting fair form already and the John Gosden-trained newcomers Litigious and Merry Vale both making appeal on paper. Preference though is for SHREWDNESS. The Royal runner was clear in second in a Lingfield maiden last month (seasonal bow) and that form has been franked with the winner taking a handicap at Salisbury in good style next time out. William Haggas' filly can open her account now.
  1. Shrewdness
  2. Norma
  3. Litigious
