Dark Angel colt, cost €85,000 as a yearling. Dam a Listed winner/Grade 3 US winner. Some promise in his debut run when fourth of nine, despite finishing 10¾L behind the winner. Will be of more interest when tackling longer trips.

Shown very little on both starts to date, finishing fifth of six at Navan last time. One more run before he qualifies for handicaps and looks opposable in this heat.

Mastercraftsman colt, cost 70,000 gns as a foal and 100,000 gns as a yearling. Half-brother to three winning sprinters including a Listed winner. Dam placed in Listed company as a juvenile. Well beaten on Curragh debut but well bred and may improve.

Anjaal colt, cost €11,000 as a yearling. Half brother to two winners over middle distances. Dam a 7f juvenile winner and half-sister to a Group 2 winner (1m2f). Makes debut and may be in need of further.

Showed promise in both maidens to date and even though he was a beaten favourite at Listowel last time out, he was probably given a bit to much to do and met some trouble in running. Solid each-way claims again dropped back in trip.
Gleneagles colt, €180,000 as a yearling. Half-brother to a 1m2f AW winner. Dam a French Listed winner as a juvenile and half-sister to a winning sprinter. Makes plenty of appeal on pedigree but yard's debutantes can be in need of the run.

Gleneagles colt, cost €110,000 as a yearling. Half-brother to a 6f juvenile winner. Dam a juvenile winner (6f) and half-sister to two Group 3 winning sprinters. Makes debut and down the order on yard's jockey bookings but makes appeal on pedigree.

Camacho colt, cost €7,000 as a foal and €26,000 as a yearling. Dam closely related to a middle distance winner. Entitled to need this on debut and others make more appeal.

War Front colt, brother to 7f winner. Dam placed at Group level and half-sister to US Grade 2 winner (6f) and a 7f Group 3 winner in France. Shaped with plenty of promise in his Newbury debut. First string on jockey bookings and expected to improve.

Forecasts

United Front (4/7), Prince Of Naples (6/1), Dark Vader (7/1), San Pedro (8/1), Royal Lytham (10/1), Jungle Cove (14/1), Simply True (40/1), Life And Strife (40/1), Discoland (100/1)

Verdict

Aidan O'Brien's juveniles often come on markedly for their debut and that will make UNITED FRONT hard to beat after a promising debut at Newbury last month. Stablemates San Pedro and Royal Lytham are both well bred and could go well but the main danger is Prince Of Naples who has shown a decent level of ability in his two starts to date.
  1. United Front
  2. Prince Of Naples
  3. San Pedro
