7f Wolverhampton winner in November. Well held on handicap debut at York last month. Drops 1lb and not one to write off after that.
Dual Newcastle novice winner who is being asked a question from this mark on his handicap debut, but is going the right way and may well come with the right answer. Acts on soft.
Soft ground 6f winner at Chester last year. Could still be more to come from this sort of mark, if shrugging off a below par effort back at Chester last time.
Has gone backwards since a promising debut at Newbury (7f, good to soft) in September. Blinkers now tried for this handicap debut. Could be well treated if back to his debut form, so not written off.
Has improved on last year's form on both starts this season, winning at Ascot (6f, soft) in a class 4 contest, and going close in another at Doncaster after a 7lb rise. Up another 1lb, so more needed, but enters calculations.
Yet to win, but went close over similar trips to this twice last year. Beaten at odds-on in a Wolverhampton novice event on his reappearance, and a bit to prove on handicap debut.
Never involved from out wide at Kempton on his return, but had run well when third on his final juvenile start, and probably has potential from this mark now handicapping. Market check.
5f Southwell win last August remains his only one to date. Gelding since a respectable run when last seen here over 5f in a class 2 nursery last September. Bit to prove over this far and fitness too after an absence.
Hasn't seen much action, but won over 5f at Wolverhampton (first-time hood) in novice company, in December. Ran well in AW handicap when 3lb higher, but held in a class 3 at York latest. Plenty still to prove.
5f soft ground winner at Hamilton last September, but well below that level in three handicap runs so far. Has dropped a total of 7lb for that, but plenty to prove.
Has shown glimpses of ability so far, and doesn't look terribly treated on this handicap debut. Nonetheless, it would be good to see some support for him to fuel confidence. Handles cut.

Pendleton (11/4), The Night Watch (4/1), Whelans Way (11/2), Tenax (7/1), Phosphor (8/1), Wild Edric (8/1), Constant (8/1), Came From The Dark (9/1), Kodi King (12/1), Vee Man Ten (20/1), Requited (20/1), Kyllachy Warrior (20/1), Glorious Emaraty (25/1), Autumn Flight (33/1)
An open feel to this race, with Kodi King and Came From The Dark both handicap newcomers who merit market checks. The Night Watch could bounce back from a disappointing run last time, while Tenax, Wild Edric and Phosphor are others to consider. Glorious Emaraaty and Whelans Way could both have a big say, but preference is for PENDLETON, who looks to be improving and handles cut.
