By Kodiac; 40,000gns yearling; well backed when making most and a running out a decisive 2¾L C&D winner (good to soft) on debut in May; it's probable that was a weak race but one can do no more than beat the opposition on any given day.
By Sir Prancealot; €1,500 yearling; has already paid her way by winning on debut at Brighton (5½f, good to firm) and went down all guns blazing to today's rival Liberty Beach at Redcar (5f) 12 days ago.

By Cable Bay; £16,000 yearling; 16/1, but got off to the perfect start when edging out the more experienced Lady Quickstep at Redcar (5f, good to firm) 12 days ago; renews rivalry on 3lb worse terms (for ½L).

By Make Believe; €3,000 yearling; kept busy, yet has shown a consistent level of form; seeks the hat-trick following wins at Redcar (6f, good to firm) and Hamilton (5f, good to soft); all speed; rates as a major player.

12/1
Garswood filly; beaten less than 3L over C&D (good) on debut, and bettered that on her next start at Carlisle (5f, soft) when a fast finishing second to the Richard Fahey-trained Exceptional; improving and versatile; couldn't be discounted.

4/1
By Kodiac; £30,000 yearling; £140,000 juvenile who represents the Cool Silk partnership who won this race in 2018 with Kodyanna; sister to the 5f juvenile scorer Reflect Alexander; very much a horse to note; stablemate of Three Coins.

Forecasts

Rose Of Kildare (9/4), Moon Of Love (4/1), Liberty Beach (11/2), Lady Quickstep (7/1), Three Coins (7/1), Execlusive (8/1), Bella Brazil (12/1), Yarrow Gate (12/1)

Verdict

The Cool Silk Partnership have taken this prestigious prize previously with Chica La Habana (2017) and Kodyanna (2018), with the dam of the latter (Jadanna) also scoring in 2012, so their newcomer Moon Of Love is very much worthy of consideration for Richard Fahey who also saddles the Ripon debut winner Three Coins. Of the remainder, any easing of the ground conditions would be unlikely to trouble the versatile and improving Yarrow Gate. However, similar comments also apply to the speedy hat-trick seeking ROSE OF KILDARE who so typically of a Mark Johnston-trained juvenile appears to be as hard as nails. She can enjoy her day in the limelight on the Westwood.
  1. Rose Of Kildare
