Rated 80 at his best on the Flat and has adapted well in three solid runs over hurdles; the latest of which resulted in a win over this trip at Fakenham in April. Still learning but very possible he'll cope with the penalty. Worth considering.
Was still in contention when he ran out on his debut but didn't show as much promise last time out at Southwell. Comes here with a bit to prove but still worth a betting check.
Was well beaten in both starts in bumpers and big improvement is required now that there are obstacles in the way.
Was never really in contention on her debut at Sedgefield and while its still early days for the filly, she does need to up her game considerably this time. Gets weight from the rest but not an obvious candidate for top honours this time.

There was a lot to like about the manner in which SMITH'S BAY asserted himself when getting off the mark last time out and as he looks a more straightforward character than Red Royalist Alan King's gelding looks the safest option here. Likeamonkey was going well until he ran out at the last flight on his hurdles debut and might have a bit more to offer than he consented to show last time out; he looks a better alternative than Unknowmymeaning and Enchanted Island at this stage.
