There was a lot to like about the manner in which SMITH'S BAY asserted himself when getting off the mark last time out and as he looks a more straightforward character than Red Royalist Alan King's gelding looks the safest option here. Likeamonkey was going well until he ran out at the last flight on his hurdles debut and might have a bit more to offer than he consented to show last time out; he looks a better alternative than Unknowmymeaning and Enchanted Island at this stage.
