Stepped forward on this year's efforts once more last time when runner-up to the progressive Kylie Rules at Beverley (1m; good to soft). Back up in distance but is a genuine contender despite having to carry the burden of top-weight.
Enjoyed a fairly productive flat campaign last year which ended in disappointment when well-beaten at this track. May have just had enough by then. Yard is operating at a 33% strike-rate currently so can't be ruled out on return to this code.
Makes seasonal debut after switching yards. New trainer in good form and although last season was a quiet one, he could be well treated now 6lb below his last winning mark. Watch for market clues.
Quite lightly raced in comparison to most of these but this nine-race maiden made a well below-par return at Windsor (1m2f; good) in April. Never threatened then and only been dropped 2lb. 60 day absence also poses a question mark.
Shaped much more encouragingly on third run of the season at Pontefract (1m; good to firm) recently. Dropped another 2lb by the handicapper since then and subsequently running off last winning mark now. Coming to the boil at just the right time.
Evidently a better horse on the AW. Needs to do more off the back of latest effort which came at this track when seventh of 15. Looks to have been crippled by the handicapper after being raised 10lb for winning by six-length three starts ago.
Unraced three-year-old. Not completely disgraced in three warm maidens earlier this year. Makes turf/handicap debut and highly likely to be much more competitive in this weaker company. Jockey offsets 3lb from opening mark.
Posted best effort of 2019 when runner-up at Wetherby (1m2f; good to firm). Just 1lb higher now and did very well off similar marks throughout last summer. Holds solid claims if reproducing latest run.
Ended three-year-old campaign when improving vastly on what she had previously shown when a resounding winner at Newmarket (1m2f; soft). Desperately disappointing on both starts this term though and tailed off latest so maximum faith required.
Seemed to be getting better with each run this year, but backwards step at Redcar (1m2f; good to firm) recently. Back down to last winning mark and ran well on sole visit to this track, so holds place claims if able to put latest run behind him.
Sent off very short (11-10F) at Carlisle (1m1f; heavy) last week when slower ground was in her favour. Also well fancied at Hamilton (1m1f; soft) the time before that and has ultimately been disappointing on both of those runs.
Made seasonal reappearance when well-beaten at Newcastle (1m2f; standard). Running poorly prior to that too and although she is 7lb below her last winning mark, still hard to recommend in current form.

Plenty in this field have a wealth of experience in races like this, such as Ghayyar and Quoteline Direct. The former posted his best effort of 2019 when managing to find only the in-form Kylie Rules too good and a reproduction of that run would see him go close in this weaker contest. Similar comments apply to the latter who shaped well when making the frame at Pontefract, and dropped another 2lb seems to be coming back to form at just the right time. However, the unexposed CAPTAIN SCOTT could get off to the perfect start to life in handicaps. Although he must prove he can handle turf, he has ran okay in some good maidens and should find this assignment a lot easier.
