Winner of two of his 13 starts over hurdles but failed to build on a promising run over 2m at Kilbeggan last month as beaten favourite when finishing well down the pack at Ballinrobe over 2m4½f. Strong place claims in this company.
Sole win came in a Cork maiden hurdle the best part of two years ago over 2m. Lightly raced in the last 18 months, the Hernando gelding ran well in defeat on return to action at Tramore last month. Each way claims.
One from 16 over hurdles and has been generally running without any enthusiasm in a number of starts on the Flat and over timber for the last 12 months. Others look open to more improvement.
Three from 32 starts over timber and appears to be struggling a little from his new mark following a win in a Clonmel handicap hurdle in November off a 5lb lower mark. Likely to find it tough going here.
Winner of six of his 32 starts over hurdles, last win coming in a Thurles handicap over 2m4f on good to firm ground off a 4lb lower mark on his penultimate start in November. Will possibly need the run back.
One from 19 over hurdles, hitting the frame on a further five occasions. Ran a gallant race in defeat when second of nine at Wexford last month coming off a 118 day break. Enters calculations.
Nine-race maiden over hurdles and has disappointed in a couple of runs on return to action at Kilbeggan and Downpatrick in recent months. No surprise to witness improvement but may find one or two better suited to today's conditions.
Sole win in 19 hurdle starts came over 2m5f at Tramore a little over 12 months ago off a 5lb higher mark. Beaten 11L at the same venue on Saturday and appears to need some relief from the handicapper.
Without a win in five starts over hurdles but produced a promising run in a Tipperary 2m4f handicap on good ground last month finishing third of 18. More needed here but not easily dismissed.
Course winner that has also won over the trip, but stingy return of one from 25 over hurdles tempers enthusiasm for the mare.. Form overall has been below-par of late and is unlikely to be improving at her age.
Has produced a number of laboured runs over hurdles including a couple of heavy defeats last month. Has work to do looking at recent form.
15-race maiden over hurdles but was still in touch and travelling well when coming down two out at Tipperary last month over 3m. Drop in trip likely to suit and strong place claims in this company.

The Roger McGrath-trained, SOMETHING SWEET was still in touch and travelling well when coming down two out at Tipperary last month. If the daughter of Mahler is in the same kind of form she can get off the mark at the 16th attempt over hurdles. The seven-year-old will have many challengers in the shape of Wexford runner-up, Trans Wood and the Denis Hogan-trained, Tipperary third, Al Sakb. Winner at Ayr in October, Callthebarman and Abraham look capable of challenging the main protagonists.
- Something Sweet
- Trans Wood
- Al Sakb
