Took a step forward from his debut at Leicester last time showing the benefit gained from his first run. Should continue to progress but does look like one who needs a touch more experience (did his best work late on); should be suited by 6f.

Found one too good on his first two starts for a stable that has been in good form with their juveniles this year. The form of both his races has worked out well (especially his Doncaster debut); now in blinkers (first-time), should go close.

Given a considerate ride on her debut at Ascot she knew far more what to expect at Bath last time going from the front but touched off close home. Clear of the remainder on that occasion she should be thereabouts here.

Verdict

Quite a competitive opener with the experienced quartet expected to hold the upper hand over the one newcomer. Archie Watson has already saddled 14 juvenile winners this season and TAXIWALA could well be primed to make it number 15 here given the fact that his two runs so far have been very sound. The main danger comes from Inyamazane who may well get another positive ride here; those tactics suited her well last time at Bath. Lady Quickstep has already shown that she acts around this eclectic course and that experience will stand her in good stead and she just shades out Ivor for the minor berth.
