Daughter of Dawn Approach, acquired for relatively small money. Not beaten far in either start at Lingfield (1m2f) or Wolverhampton (1m4f) so far, though does go up in class this evening. Competitive.

Narrow winner of pair of Mares' bumpers at Lingfield and Kempton during 2018. Found out in better company since, including at Aintree in April, before two unpromising runs over timber (fancied). May find this a bit sharp.

Shamardal filly, makes some appeal on paper and shaped better on second start at Bath (1m3½f, firm; 33-1) when making the frame having set pace. Not ideally berthed here but should offer something.

Costly purchase, related to Group-winners on the continent. Yet to threaten in two runs, finishing fifth of 10 in maiden at Newbury (1m2f, soft) in April. More needed.

Dame Malliot (11/4), Qamka (11/4), Whimbrel (9/2), Geizy Teizy (5/1), Hindaam (7/1), Moll Davis (8/1), Albanderi (10/1), Parish Poet (14/1), Cherries At Dawn (16/1), Desert Mission (20/1), Souila (20/1), Scenesetter (25/1), Irish Steps (25/1), Astral Girl (33/1), Giving Back (40/1), Dubawi Meeznah (50/1)

Verdict

Qamka and Whimbrel are the picks on form shown, with the former having run third in a useful-looking Nottingham maiden last month on debut. She should find this longer trip to her liking and is the standard-bearer. There are plenty of interesting newcomers however and none more so than ALBANDERI for the red-hot Sir Michael Stoute team. The Kingman filly should appreciate this trip and can have a big say, while fellow debutante Hindaam is also shortlisted. Parish Poet is a possible improver upped in distance after her recent Goodwood outing with Dame Malliot another on the upgrade.
  1. Albanderi
  2. Qamka
  3. Hindaam
