Placed in both runs this season and not beaten far either time, including on reappearance in April over C&D. Can go very close if first-time cheekpieces have positive effect back here.
10-time winner between France and Italy but yet to really find his feet in Britain. Was 5L fifth of 10 over C&D last week and didn't get much luck in the run, could improve on that showing.
Picked up three wins last season in small-field events but others more appealing following pair of tame showings on turf this term, latest over 7f at Goodwood when tailed off.
Three-time winner and Group-placed in France, not exactly threatening in four runs for this yard though did go well for much of the journey over C&D six days ago before weakening into fourth (Giogiobbo fifth).
Out of the money just once in 10 starts this year so far, competing in low-grade handicaps/claimers and serving new connections very well (four wins). Much stiffer ask now on these terms and might get found out.
Almost a year since he's won a race. He caused a false start at Goodwood recently (broke through the stalls early) and was withdrawn from re-run, before then unseating David Egan leaving gates here six days ago. On fair mark if able to show best.
Still lightly-raced and has 2-4 course record amid his nine starts so far. Beaten favourite here over 7f in April and again disappointing on turf at Bath (5½f, firm; 5-2) 13 days ago. Career-best needed back around here.
Forecasts
Goodnight Girl (9/4), Moon Trouble (5/2), Count Otto (9/2), Giogiobbo (7/1), Field Gun (10/1), Zac Brown (12/1), Steelriver (12/1)
First-time cheekpieces may do the trick for the consistent GOODNIGHT GIRL, not beaten far in either start this season and surely destined to get another win before long. Steelriver has been thriving in lesser company but faces a stiff test now while the recent C&D run of Moon Trouble was encouraging, if he can be convinced to settle early on. Zac Brown is on a very nice mark, should he leave his starting stall woes behind.
