Racing Welfare Handicap

Lightly-raced and fairly consistent; won a handicap at Southwell well enough last season and ran a fair effort over this course and distance two starts ago. Maybe needs to drop down the handicap a few pounds to get competitive again.

Not disgraced on his return to the flat after a spell hurdling finishing third over 1m4f at Wolverhampton. Has previously run well at this track and this step up in trip is sure to suit.

Once reliable stayer who has run well over this course and distance in the past. A repeat of his latest effort at Chepstow would see him go close against these rivals but he can throw in some below par performances these days.

Stayed on well over an inadequate 11 furlongs at the turn of the year but disappointed for new connections last time out on fast ground at Salisbury. Step up in trip will suit and has run well on this surface in the past. One for the shortlist.

Course and distance winner whose only poor run of late came at Kempton in January. Much better efforts since and looks on a fair handicap mark but other preferred on the overall balance of form.

Excellent effort to win well at Chelmsford four days ago over ten furlongs. First try over this longer trip is the main question mark but obviously in fine spirits and holds every chance if staying.

Ran some decent races last season, most notably when placed at Newbury and winning at Chelmsford. Not disgraced on his reappearance at Bath last month and should be fitter here.

Best three recent runs have been over this course and distance. Slightly below par in his last two runs at Salisbury and Chepstow. Two pounds wrong in the handicap. Others preferred.

Racing here from five pounds out of the handicap. Refused to race last time at Bath. Has some bits of form over this course and distance but not one to rely on currently.
