Well beaten in two starts since returning from a break. Handicap mark is falling as a result but probably best watched at present.
Run well in defeat the last twice most recently when fourth over C&D nearly two weeks ago. Races off a mark 4lb higher than when winning over C&D last November.
C&D winner was beaten 7½L when finishing seventh over this trip at Chelmsford in April. Given a break since and races off a mark 2lb higher than for his latest success.
Ended his time with previous stable with a 16L last of nine over this C&D in February. Well handicapped on his old form and worth a check in the market on debut for this yard having won over C&D in the past.
Promising ½L second in a 6f contest here on handicap debut in December. Changed yards since and is one for the shortlist stepping back up in trip on seasonal reappearance.
Beaten 10L when finishing last of four in a 7f claimer at Lingfield four months ago. Absent since and probably best watched on this occasion.
Completed a C&D double when winning by ½L under this rider last time out. Raised 4lb for that success and strong claims of registering a fourth victory over this C&D.
Decent fourth in a big field 7f handicap at Salisbury (good-to-firm) on seasonal debut in April. Well held dropping to 6f at Chepstow (good-to-firm) subsequently however.
Finished 11½L seventh in an 18 runner amateur riders handicap at Salisbury (7f, good-to-firm) on seasonal debut in April. Likely to have improved for the run and won off a 1lb higher mark over this C&D last July.
Successful in first time blinkers (cheekpieces worn here) over 7f at Newcastle in March last year. Had just three starts since and finished well beaten on debut for this stable at Chepstow (6f, good-to-firm) last month.
Limited signs of ability in three starts over 6f in 2017. Gelded since and market support would be notable on handicap debut following a lengthy absence.
Decent effort in finishing fourth over C&D at the end of April. Finished mid-division over 7f at Yarmouth (good) subsequently and is worth a check in the market off a mark 6lb lower than when winning over C&D 12 months ago.
Forecasts
Calin's Lad (5/4), Magical Molly Joe (5/1), Rockesbury (6/1), Showdance Kid (7/1), Gold Flash (14/1), Al Ozzdi (16/1), Masquerade Bling (16/1), Ventriloquist (22/1), Tavener (22/1), Fitzrovia (25/1), Champagne Bob (33/1), Mabo (80/1)
MAGICAL MOLLY JOE has been in great form of late and with a decent draw she is taken to complete her hat-trick by taking this handicap event. The selection has a promising apprentice in the saddle and she can see off her rivals here with Rockesbury capable of claiming second spot following a good run here last time out. Third place can go to Calin's Lad who remains open to improvement on debut for this yard.
- Magical Molly Joe
- Rockesbury
- Calin's Lad
