A C&D winner in 2017 who opened her season with success in a 6f contest at Naas. Blew her chances coming out of the stalls last time at the Curragh (1m) where she was slowly into her stride. More needed to win off this mark.
Won over this C&D back in April in what is one of three wins this year. She finished fifth of 14 runners on her last start at the Curragh (7f). Should be competitive once again.
Justified strong market support behind her 13 days ago to win at Sligo (6f). She has gone up 6lb for that success, but she may be able to defy that rise at a distance she has won over before. Leading contender.
Won four consecutive races last year, three of which were over this distance. On her last start at the Curragh (6f) she was fifth of 12 runners, just 2L behind the winner. Good chance to record another success.
Was a surprise 50/1 winner at the Fairyhouse (7f) on her debut last September. Lightly-raced since then and was disappointing last time at the Curragh (1m) where she was 17th of 18 runners. Down in trip but needs to bounce back.
Produced a career best performance to win at Limerick over the extended 6f trip last time on soft ground where she stayed on well in closing stages, Leading player.
Sole victory from her 10 starts came at Fairyhouse (6f) last July. Was 6th of eight runners at the Curragh(1m) 10 days ago where she weakened inside the final 1f. Blinkers on for first time. Each-way claims.
Was third of seven runners at Fairyhouse (7f) four days ago. Off a winnable mark now. Cheekpieces are on for the first time and yard are in good form. Likely to be involved.
Her sole success came on the AW at Dundalk as a two-year-old last year. Was second of 16 runners at Naas (7f) back in March off a higher mark. Needs to bounce back from a disappointing effort at York (7f) last time.
Been well beaten on her two starts this season, including latest when last of 13 runners over this C&D. Has dropped down the weights but others are still prefered.
Won two consecutive races last year, including at this course over 1m. Has struggled for form since then. Still looks to be off a handicap mark she will struggle with.
Forecasts
Waitingfortheday (4/1), Black Magic Woman (9/2), Honor Oak (11/2), Annie Fior (13/2), Mary Salome (7/1), Angels (8/1), Dramatise (12/1), Solar Wave (16/1), Vallambrosa (16/1), Quinns Red Rose (16/1), Tuamhain (33/1)
A competitive handicap where HONOR OAK goes into it in good form following her success at Sligo. She was staying on really strongly over the 6f trip so this step up in distance should really suit her. Waitingfortheday showed glimpses of returning to form last time and is certainly capable of winning off this mark, while Angels can be in the mix if this race hasn't come too soon for her after her run at Fairyhouse just four days ago.
- Honor Oak
- Waitingfortheday
- Angels
