C&D winner three years ago but successes have been rare since; back over hurdles after a poor run at Leopardstown and has something to prove these days.
Off since December but enjoyed a profitable spell over fences last summer so might just have had enough for the season by then. Well treated back over timber and not much to find. One to monitor closely in the betting. (Yard won this last year.)
On a long losing run and struggling to make an impact since his return in March. Now tried in blinkers but has a lot to prove at present.
Visored for the first time but is back on a winning mark and ought to be well suited by reverting to hurdles and dropping back in trip; had winning form when handled by Henry de Bromhead so holds no secrets from his former trainer.
Up 7lb after winning at Clonmel earlier in the month and obviously freshened up and benefited from a previous break. Career best now required but dangerous to rule out a place in the frame.
Lightly raced in recent times and has a bit to prove after being brushed aside on the AW at Dundalk last time. Been dropped 2lb since his last run over hurdles but the gelding was well beaten the last time he raced here.
Not too many miles on the clock but has been inconsistent since she made a winning debut at Cork last November; place claims on the form of her penultimate start but needs to better the performance of last time out.
Rated 11lb higher over fences and has to be respected given her recent chase form; arguably better with plenty of give under foot but still dangerous to underestimate.
Still a maiden and was well held from the same mark last time; the trip might also be on the sharp side.
Chasing a hat-trick after smooth wins at Wexford in April and again over C&D earlier this month; up 8lb but has a progressive profile and had plenty in hand last time. Solid claims here.
Only a solitary win to his name under both codes of racing a losing run is starting to mount up; 0-4 over hurdles but did show some promise when last tied in this sphere. More now needed to break his maiden.
Forecasts
Colenso (7/2), Littlestickarubarb (4/1), Le Vagabond (11/2), Buttons And Bows (13/2), One In All In (8/1), Chapati (8/1), Skeaping (10/1), Monbeg Chit Chat (12/1), Abraham (20/1), Magic Sea (22/1), Mr Picotee (25/1)
MONBEG CHIT CHAT is well handicapped in comparison to his chase form and, as he represents last year's winning trainer, he comes here with a lot going for him. The hat-tick chasing Colenso is still on an upwards curve and merits serious consideration, while Littlestickarubarb is also capable of being thereabouts if he handles the ground.
- Monbeg Chit Chat
- Colenso
- Littlestickarubarb
