Successful at Chester on Saturday when coming from off the pace to score comfortably. Showed he was suited to easy conditions that day and now 3-6 in this grade. A 5lb penalty is offset by his capable rider's claim.
Was going the right way when last seen two years ago but an absence since means a watching brief is advisable here.
Knows his way around here and two best efforts have come at this venue. Came from a long way back to finish second here last week and the slower ground forecast is in his favour. The extra half-mile may be more of a problem.
Six-time winner who acts on any ground. Just 1lb above his last winning mark and will be fitter for two outings this term. Lost his chance when hampered by a faller last time and has a lot going for him.
Back to form at Doncaster last time and a 2lb rise in the weights still leaves him below his last winning mark. Has conditions to suit and merits consideration.
Winner of three races and handles any going. Not disgraced off his new mark on Saturday in similar grade when a more galloping track may have helped.
Front-runner who has gone two years without a win. Handles some give underfoot and has run well here previously. Back to form latest but more likely he will set this up for another rival.
Won a low-grade Salisbury handicap (1m2f, heavy; 6-1) last year and also landed a Goodwood seller. Has plenty to find with Corton Lad judged on latest running and probably needs conditions more testing than expected.
Forecasts
Hats Off To Larry (15/8), Roar (11/4), Sioux Frontier (3/1), The Navigator (8/1), Kilowatt (11/1), Regal Mirage (12/1), Corton Lad (14/1), Can Can Sixty Two (28/1)
HATS OFF TO LARRY scored well on Saturday and a 5lb penalty brings him up to his last revised official mark. His rider is excellent value for his claim and he is taken to follow up at the expense of prolific winner Regal Mirage and Roar will not mind the ground and both are on manageable marks. Sioux Frontier has been in good form this year and showed he can handle his new mark plus this class of opponent at Chester on Saturday
- Hats Off To Larry
- Roar
