Still looking for his first win in handicap company, but has hit the crossbar a few times and will surely find a race before too long. Not disgraced by any means when 2L fourth of eight over 1m4f at this track last time.
Probably needed the run on seasonal reappearance when eighth of nine at Thirsk. Won twice in September, including at this venue, but the handicapper may have his measure for the time being.
Much improved effort on first run following wind surgery when second of 17 in a quite valuable handicap at York. Obvious chance if able to back up that run off 3lb higher.
Well held on last three starts over a variety of distances. Needs to find significant improvement off his reduced handicap mark.
First run for the best part of a year when last of nine over 1m2f on the AW at Newcastle last month. Down 5lb and fitted with a visor for the first time, but is best watched until showing more.
First run in a handicap when fourth of eight, beaten under 2L, over 1m4f at Wolverhampton in October. Open to plenty of improvement and is one to consider.
Best of three efforts for current handler after leaving Hugo Palmer's stable when third of seven over 1m2f at Ayr last week. More needed, but he seems to be getting his act together.
Stable companion of Dragon Mountain who was in fine form last summer and wound up his season with a C&D success. Up 3lb and has an absence to overcome, but it would be unwise to rule him out.
Has been running well on the AW this year, winning at Newcastle and Southwell. Just as capable on turf and makes a fair amount of appeal given her current well being.
Best run so far this season when second of nine, beaten 1L, at Musselburgh earlier this month. A 3lb rise seems a little harsh, but he should make his presence felt again.
Forecasts
Charles Kingsley (2/1), Done Deal (11/2), Armandihan (11/2), Royal Cosmic (13/2), Alabanza (7/1), Dragon Mountain (12/1), Tor (14/1), Multellie (18/1), Diodorus (18/1), Overhaugh Street (33/1)
Top-weight Charles Kingsley will surely land a handicap before too long, but this is no easy task for him and in DONE DEAL he meets an unexposed rival from a shrewd stable. The selection ran well on his first start in a handicap and can shrug off his absence since October. Royal Cosmic may chase him home, while others to note are Overhaugh Street and Armandihan.
- Done Deal
- Royal Cosmic
- Armandihan
