Won a Thirsk handicap by a short head earlier this month but failed to find much close home last time out off today's handicap mark. Story may be similar this time.

Not the most consistent these days but showed a little of his old form last time out at Ripon. Suspicion he will not be good enough here even though he is probably falling to a winnable mark.

Ran his best race for a long time in a Wolverhampton claimer and has moved to new connections.. Enjoys fast ground and capable at the trip but last win was nearly three years ago.

Generally consistent and not adverse to winning (usually at Wolverhampton) however turf form is not so great and others preferred.

Back to a winning mark but has shown very little on his last four starts to suggest he is capable of placing, let alone win a contest like this.

Followed up a 6f victory on good-to-firm going at Brighton at the start of this month with a below par run at Chepstow (6f, good-to-firm) 13 days later. Back to his Brighton form last time out at Salisbury. Lively in-form contender.

Sole win came in a 7f Catterick maiden on final start for Ed Dunlop back in 2017. Very disappointing in three starts for new yard last year and has had wind surgery since. Faded badly and eased on reappearance three weeks ago.

Finally returned to a bit of form last time out at Salisbury in a similar contest. If capable of reproducing that form he has every chance in a contest not full of likely winners.

Only a few pieces of form to get slightly excited about form last season (none at this trip). Best watch on seasonal reappearance for new connections.

Has shown a modicum of consistency in his last three runs at Wolverhampton. Was not disgraced on turf last summer and capable of picking up some prize money at the very least.

May have needed his recent reappearance run at Thirsk. Won a couple of handicaps last season at sprint distances. Not one to invest too much in until he shows better form. Hard to judge.

No worthwhile form last season. Does not seem plausible she will suddenly put her best foot forward. No real chance.

Verdict

WHO TOLD JO JO is a tentative selection given he is one of the only few horses in form. Any reproduction of his recent efforts should see him go close. Supaulette looks handicapped up to her best and may have to settle for minor honors. Letmestopyouthere is another who has good recent for and if he continues in that vain may run a decent race.
