Showed enough in first three starts to suggest he can win a race but hasn't really shone in two handicap outings thus far. 1lb lower than when last of 12 at Kempton seven weeks ago and makes his turf debut.
Three runs during the winter before returning with encouraging effort when second on handicap bow over a mile at Chepstow. Pulled hard that day and no surprise to see her dropped in trip. with top jockey taking over.
Modest AW handicapper who has yet to get off the mark. Returns to turf for first time since October and will need to raise his game to trouble the judge.
Looked a shade unlucky when not getting the best of runs in finishing second over C&D last week. No world beater but seems in decent nick at present and may not be far away.
Hasn't beaten a horse in any of her last three starts including on penultimate start here over extended 5f. Had excuse then as stirrup leather broke. Steps up in trip but is hard to enthuse over.
Turf debut following five starts on AW that included length second in four-runner affair at Southwell in March. Well beaten though back at the Rolleston track last time. Dropped 2lb for his troubles.
Fair third in 5f Wolverhampton AW novice stakes in December but hasn't really built on that although kept on over shorter trip here last time. May do a little better for this longer trip.
No show in three novice stakes this spring at long odds and makes handicap bow off lowly mark. Dam related to a listed winner at 6f so there is hope of some improvement in this sphere.
10-race maiden who has been beaten a long way on both starts this term and will do very well if she is able to squeak into even a place.
Irish-trained filly who has looked very modest in her four racecourse appearances thus far. Trainer yet to send out a winner so on balance she looks to have plenty on her plate.
Forecasts
Lonicera (6/5), Your Mothers' Eyes (11/4), Tarrzan (5/1), Fox Happy (15/2), Thedevilinneville (14/1), Jeanette May (33/1), Milldean Panther (33/1), Princess Florence (40/1), Spirit Of Lucerne (66/1), Katie O'hara (100/1)
LONICERA didn't quite get home after taking a strong hold over a mile at Chepstow last time so this drop in trip and the presence of a world-class rider look an ideal fit in a moderate contest. Tarrzan found trouble in running here last time and wouldn't be out of this if he gets a clear run, whle the likes of Your Mother's Eyes and Mildean Panther have a little scope for improvement and may bid to hit the frame.
- Lonicera
- Tarrzan
- Milldean Panther
