Won twice at Dundalk last winter and went close to getting his head back in front at Navan earlier this month. May come on for that but perhaps better over 5f than this trip.
Impressive when winning here last time out, his second success in 11 career starts. Drop back in trip not certain to suit and 11lb rise could be a tad harsh.
Has 14 wins to his name and starting to look very well handicapped on old form but getting long in the tooth now and has shown very little in two outings this term. Hard to fancy at present.
In the form of his life at present and bolted up over this trip at Naas last time out. 8lb rise is fair and he's not one to rule out in current form with Keane booked.
Rattled off a four-timer last year and held her form well towards the end of the campaign without getting her head back in front but well beaten in two starts this year. Needs first-time cheekpieces to spark a revival.
Hasn't won since his second start but went close at Naas on seasonal debut. Failed to beat a rival home in a 22-runner affair last time and needs to bounce back.
In good form throughout last season without getting his head in front. Return effort was respectable and may come on for that so not one to rule out now lurking on a nice handicap mark.
Won three times last year including over C&D but has been a bit below form in two starts this year. Just 1lb above his last winning handicap mark so could go well if he can get back to last season's best form.
Yet to win in 10 starts and showed very little on debut for this yard last time out. Has plenty to prove at present and looks opposable.
Sole win in eight starts came at this venue over an extended 6f. Promising effort when outrunning his odds on return at Naas and may be able to build on that.
Just won once when trained by Hugo Palmer. Showed little on first three starts for this yard but it was a much better effort when fourth at Naas last time; drop back in trip should suit here.
Won a Dundalk maiden in November and has run well in defeat in two starts this term. Dropping to a nice handicap mark and not one to rule out in first-time tongue-tie.
Forecasts
Shore Step (4/1), Mokhalad (5/1), Hammersmith (7/1), Arcanears (8/1), Waitingfortheday (8/1), Barend Boy (8/1), Amanaat (9/1), Blairmayne (10/1), Hit The Silk (10/1), Miss Jabeam (14/1), Fridtjof Nansen (22/1), Maarek (33/1)
A tricky handicap but BLAIRMAYNE is the suggestion. The six-year-old has dropped to a nice handicap mark and shaped nicely on return at Naas. Shore Step is just 1lb above his last mark and shouldn't be dismissed while Miss Jabeam could go well in first-time headgear.
- Blairmayne
- Shore Step
- Miss Jabeam
