For all that he has smart staying form over hurdles and on the Flat, just one career win from 21 starts. Beat all bar easy winner on reappearance at Doncaster (1m6½f, good; 25-1) this month and only gone up 1lb.
Yet to win beyond 1m4f and only one try over hurdles when non-stayer. Below his best in both runs this term on the AW and appeals as being rated plenty high now back on turf.
Four-time AW winner out of luck this winter despite some sound efforts. Less productive on turf (1-14), though ran sound race at Epsom (1m4f, good) last month. Untested at this sort of trip.
Made a winning seasonal reappearance/ stable bow at Newbury (2m2f, good to soft) in 2018 but hasn't won since and both runs this season have yielded tame efforts. Hard to make a case for without seeing some positives.
Very lightly-raced in comparison to some of these, fair third at Ascot on first try over this trip in soft-ground Class 3 handicap. Eased 1lb and should be at home on better surface, unexposed sort with claims of better.
Back in the winner's enclosure when landing a 2m AW handicap at Kempton in March; stayed on strongly to win and only just held since back on turf at Nottingham (1m6f, good to soft; 16-1) in this grade. Entitled to claims again.
Can be challenging ride, but winner over 2m at Kempton in December and went close to following up at Lingfield. Back from short break with clear-cut success here over 1m6f (good) this month and now 6lb higher going back to 2m.
York winner in 2017 over 2m+. Only seen out three times in 2018, but showed he retains all his ability when a close third behind Handiwork at Doncaster on reappearance. Should come on for that and only nudged up 1lb by the assessor.
Won four times at up to 2m last year and, in a change of headgear, looked better than ever when beating Knight Commander at Wolverhampton in April. Behind Blue Rambler since at Doncaster however over shorter trip.
Lightly-raced in this sphere and potentially on lenient mark judged on last year's form. Ran well enough in testing conditions over hurdles at Newbury (2m3f, good to soft) in March, having twice scored over timber during winter. Can have a say.
Dutch Art gelding has hit 10-years-old now and wasn't seeing his races out through 2018. Yet to win beyond 1m5f and no match for Rydan here over 1m6f (good) recently.
Nathaniel gelding was returning from a break when winning by 2L in a 13-runner 2m handicap at Kempton in February. Gone ok on AW since but 0-6 on turf previously and surely needs career-best now.
All three career successes on the Flat having come on the AW and, worryingly, has failed to shine in three previous starts at this track (1m6f/2m). Has slipped to a handy mark however.
