Impressive 10L winner of a maiden over an extended 1m1f at Wolverhampton in November. Lightly-raced for his age and is one for the shortlist for a leading stable on handicap debut.
Listed winner on good ground over 1m in Italy just over 12 months ago. Placed in that company since and is worth a check in the market on stable debut and first start since being gelded.
Good third in a small field 1m4f handicap at Doncaster (good) last September. Well beaten at York the following month however and makes his seasonal debut having been gelded in the interim.
Course winner was beaten a head when runner-up in a 1m4f handicap at Kempton last month. Good fifth over an extended 1m4f at Newcastle subsequently and is interesting dropping in distance.
Put a disappointing effort behind him when finishing 1L fourth in a 1m1f handicap at Newmarket (good-to-firm) earlier this month. Races off the same mark here and has won over this distance in the past.
Six time winner most recently by a head in a C&D handicap early last month. Run well on both subsequent starts including when 3¼L fourth here three weeks ago.
Fair form in three starts in Dubai earlier this year but finished well beaten in first time cheekpieces (absent here) over this trip at Kempton in March. Has won over this C&D in the past.
Forecasts
Star Of Bengal (1/1), Exec Chef (9/2), Al Hamdany (6/1), Highbrow (7/1), Dark Red (10/1), Nonios (12/1), Domagnano (40/1), Mount Tahan (40/1)
EXEC CHIEF put a below par effort behind him when finishing fourth on turf last time out and he can get back to winning ways with a victory in this handicap event. The selection has finished in the first three on his four previous AW appearances and he can take this at the chief expense of handicap debutant Star Of Bengal who broke his maiden on his most recent start while third place can go to Al Hamdany who is dropping back in trip.
