Chief Brody27
Age: 8|  Weight: 11-13| J: Lorcan Williams(5)| T: W R Muir| OR:  111| CD
10/1
Back to very best when second at Market Rasen on penultimate start, seemingly helped by going from the front. Reverted to more patient tactics when below form here last time, and others preferred now.

Knight Destroyer31
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-13| J: Jonjo O'Neill Jr.(3)| T: J & A O'Neill| OR:  111| D
7/1
Well treated on best form, but was again let down by his jumping when well beaten at Huntingdon in February, and fared no better on his return from a break at Ffos Las on latest outing. Plenty to prove at present.
3
Horse silk
Atlantic Stormt16
Age: 7|  Weight: 11-12| J: Charlie Hammond(3)| T: B R Summers| OR:  110| D
7/1
Won at Stratford in October, and back from a spell chasing when placed over C&D on last two starts. Had wind surgery in between, so could do better again, and one to bear in mind.
4
Horse silk
Kereman26
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-10| J: Harry Skelton| T: D Skelton| OR:  108| D
4/7
Has improved since a wind op, winning all three starts in handicaps last term, his hat-trick coming over 2m3f at Bangor in April by 9L from Kalaskadesemilley. Should continue to run well, and the one to beat despite another rise in the weights.
5
Horse silk
Billy My Boyp26
Age: 10|  Weight: 11-10| J: Bryan Carver(7)| T: C J Down| OR:  108| D
7/1
Built on previous promise when landing a 2m1f handicap at Newton Abbot in August, and probably needed the run when 16½L fifth of 10 to Delface at Chepstow last month. Should do better with that under his belt.
6
Horse silk
Mach Onet131
Age: 5|  Weight: 11-2| J: J J Burke| T: C E Longsdon| OR:  100
25/1
Standout effort over hurdles when 11¼L third of 10 to Zoffany Bay in a 2m maiden at Plumpton on debut, but he has not progressed, and probably isn't one to trust. Tongue tie tried now, which offers hope.
7
Horse silk
Carnage57
Age: 4|  Weight: 11-0| J: James Davies| T: Mrs N S Evans| OR:  102
40/1
Seemed to improve on earlier efforts (including on the Flat) when third of 12 to Tiffin Top in a 2m juvenile maiden at Hereford last time. Needs to prove he can build on that, and jumping still needs work.
8
Horse silk
Bulletproofp28
Age: 13|  Weight: 10-7| J: Tom Cannon| T: K O Cunningham-Brown| OR:  91| D
40/1
Very well treated on his best form, but this veteran is almost certainly on the decline, and ran poorly after a break at Taunton last time.

Forecasts

Kereman (4/7), Knight Destroyer (7/1), Billy My Boy (7/1), Atlantic Storm (7/1), Chief Brody (10/1), Mach One (25/1), Carnage (40/1), Bulletproof (40/1)

Verdict

KEREMAN is climbing the handicap but travels like a horse ahead of his mark still, and can complete a four-timer at the main expense of Atlantic Storm, who could improve for his first run after wind surgery. Billy My Boy is another likely to do better for a recent pipe-opener and has minor claims.
  1. Kereman
  2. Atlantic Storm
  3. Billy My Boy
