Point-to-point winner around this time last year and made a good start to hurdling career with third in a decent race at Kempton. Good chance of success in a weak event, with a repeat of that possibly good enough here, and conditions no issue.

Far from disgraced when fourth at Market Rasen on debut earlier in the month, pedigree suggests she'd make a good sprinter but clearly has some hurdling ability and might not need much more to get among the places here. Worth a second look.

Not without ability on the Flay (for another yard) and knew how to win when then oportunity arose. Has made a quiet start to hurdling career and will be of more interest in handicaps after today.

Winner on the Polytrack at Lingfield last year, but raced too keenly for his own good on hurdles debut at Kempton earlier in the month and faded out of things (well behind Mystic Court). Capable of better and in good hands, so may improve.

Rated in the 80's for Roger Charlton on the Flat, so has the speed for hurdling, but worrying signs on hurdles debut at Wincanton this month, swerving badly into the first and unseating. Risky enough after that, and would like to see a clear round.

Related to a couple of hurdles winners and trainer knows the family well. Promise shown in four bumper starts, has been found a suitable opportunity to start hurdling career and wouldn't need to be any great shakes to have a say.

Betting

Forecast

Mystic Court (4/9), Twist (11/2), Parisian Affair (8/1), Rukwa (10/1), Universal Command (22/1), Swilly Sunset (125/1)

Verdict

Twist and Universal Command were both useful on the Flat and could have a say in proceedings if they improve on what they have achieved over hurdles so far, but this does look a good opportunity for MYSTIC COURT to score, having made a solid introduction at Kempton a fortnight ago, and with improvement likely, he can take the beating. Rukwa could easily get among the medals after his decent debut hurdles effort at Market Rasen.
