Half-brother to 1m-1m2f winner Calm Attitude out of a half-sister to useful winners Papaha (1m) and Old California (1m4f).Runner-up in pair of 6f Newcastle novices last autumn. Shapes as if he'll do better still over 7f now back in action.
Shamardal gelding bought for 120,000 guineas as a yearling then sold unraced last August for just £800. Well held in Hexham bumper and Wetherby novice in recent weeks and overlooked again.
Canford Cliffs gelding who fetched €40,000 this year and is a half-brother to multiple winners over a variety of distances. Had a couple of useful sorts behind when scoring on 7f Redcar debut last autumn and should make a bold bid under penalty.
Bungle Inthejungle gelding who's price dropped to just €15,000 as a yearling. Dam unraced half-sister to winners over 5f and 1m. Winner on 7f Redcar debut in September but not in the same form when only seventh there the following month.
Son of Showcasing out a dam who won over 5f as a juvenile. Cost 67,000gns as a yearling and a 4th foal; half-brother to sprint winners Celebration and Gaval. Must improve on Nottingham novice run (6f, good to soft) recently.
Decent efforts when placed on all three starts, including on 7f Wetherby return three weeks ago. Bit more called for to get head in front.
Shadwell-bred three-year-old who was sold cheaply (£5,500) in October and was unfancied and showed little on either start so far. Watching brief.

Forecasts
I Could Do Better (5/6), Current Option (5/4), Brandy Spirit (11/4), So Macho (6/1), Ride The Monkey (12/1), Bold Show (16/1), Indiaro (66/1), Ghathanfar (80/1), Rodney After Dave (100/1), The Retriever (150/1)
I COULD DO BETTER's debut win at Redcar is the best piece of form on offer and, despite carrying a penalty, he looks to be likeliest winner of this. Brandy Spirit has been consistent so far and heads the dangers while So Macho may offer more on return upped in journey.
