Won a race in France but has yet to set the world alight on these shores. Likes to make the running and is on a handy enough mark but disappointed on quick ground at Beverley and softer ground would suit.
Had been hard to win with before three successes last year, however remains 3lb higher. Vulnerable to a better handicapped rival but in consistent form in three starts this year and unlikely to be far away in conditions that suit.
Up 6lb following back-to-back successes and conditions will suit again. Proving extremely reliable and comes here off the back of a clear career-best success. Conditions are ideal and rates a leading contender.
Took advantage of a reduced mark to win over this distance at Newcastle (AW) and followed it there with a second and another career-best success. Up 6lb and is clearly improving but previously yet to win in nine turf starts.
Won on his return to turf at Pontefract last month, and finished best of all when a close second at Musselburgh. Very disappointing at Beverley subsequently and likely others better handicapped at present.
Lost his way last year but back to form at Nottingham on reappearance and ran to a similar level when detached early off a slow pace at Pontefract. Down 2lb and likely to be competitive.
Made a good impression in two of three starts back in 2017, winning over 7f on third AW start. Well held on recent reappearance following lengthy absence and likely best watched on turf debut.
Finally off the mark following a number of narrow defeats, when scoring over 7f on soft on start number nine. Very consistent in nine starts to date and likely has more to offer, however seems to prefer an easier surface.
Now 1lb below last winning mark when he gained a second AW win at Newcastle in November. Better effort when down in class at Wetherby latest but this grade again likely to prove tough.
Third start for this yard (formerly with Hugo Palmer), ran fine considering 33-1 price tag suggested little was expected at Redcar but disappointing at Newcastle (AW). Hard to fancy.
On a clearly good mark based on his old form with Keith Dalgleish but has now been tailed off or failed to finish in 11 starts for this yard under both codes. Impossible to make any sort of case for on this run of form.
Forecasts
Saisons D'Or (3/1), Tadaawol (4/1), Dubai Acclaim (11/2), Make Me (7/1), Paparazzi (7/1), Autretot (17/2), Furzig (12/1), Mutarakez (12/1), Intense Pleasure (12/1), Mont Kinabalu (12/1), Starplex (40/1)
In a race with the majority having questions to answer Mutarakez has at least returned with two solid runs that suggests he's on a decent mark at present. Tadaawol is proving reliable but preference is for SAISONS D'OR who has everything in his favour and is on a clear upward curve.
- Saisons D'Or
