Made a winning debut at Kempton (1m) in November, and improved despite being forced wide when 1¼L second of 4 to Derevo in a 1¼m at Chelmsford last time. Takes a big step up in class here, and must progress another chunk.

By Australia out of a 1¼m AW winner, and looked a good prospect when winning a 1m maiden at Kempton in October despite looking in need of further. Sure to improve, although this is a marked step up.
Dam won the Listed Height of Fashion Stakes (1¼m) and Group 3 Prix Chloe over 1m1f, and has produced 1½m winner Sing A Rainbow. Easy winner of a 1m maiden at Newmarket last month, and sure to progress now upped in trip. Major chance.

Winner of a 7f maiden at Newmarket in October, and unlucky not to follow up when beaten by Muchly, who had the run of things at Ascot on her return. Every chance on that evidence, although not guaranteed to relish longer trip on pedigree.

Full-sister to Group 3 Bahrain Trophy winner Raheen House. Missed the break and ran green, but very much caught the eye when fourth in a strong 1¼m novice at Sandown on debut behind Sparkle Roll. Could do much better, so merits respect.

War Command filly who confirmed debut promise when winning a 1m novice at Newmarket last time by a short head from Star of War. Should progress again, but others appear to have her measure.

Sea The Stars half-sister to high-class 1¼m-1½m winner Cannock Chase. Improved on debut when easily winning a C&D maiden last month, and shortlisted, for all the placed horses have failed to advertise the form since.

Course winner who held her own in Group company last year, most notably when third in the Group 1 Prix Marcel Boussac at Longchamp. Below best this season, but looks ready for a step up in trip after running in the 1000 Guineas last time.

Forecasts

Queen Power (13/8), Sea of Faith (5/2), Lavender's Blue (5/1), Star Catcher (6/1), Star Terms (9/1), Lastochka (20/1), Sh Boom (33/1), Lady Adelaide (33/1), Kimblewick (40/1)

Verdict

Some promising fillies in here, but STAR TERMS has already achieved a high level of form, and can be forgiven a rare poor run in the 1000 Guineas. She is bred to do better at this sort of trip, and can make her experience tell. Lavender's Blue impressed when winning over 1m at Newmarket and is certain to improve at this trip, so is shortlisted, with Sea of Faith, Star Catcher and Queen Power also entering calculations.
  1. Star Terms
  2. Lavender's Blue
  3. Sea of Faith
