€28,000 yearling; no match for the well treated Moon King (8/15f) at Wetherby (1m6f, good to soft) last week but that handicap debut second was his clear best effort to date; ought to be thereabouts if replicating.

Kept good company as a juvenile, well beaten by Dante hopeful Surfman at Nottingham in November; didn't enjoy the best of luck in running when finishing fifth at Wolverhampton on handicap debut (1m1f+); blinkers added.

£3,500 yearling; finished 1½L third to War Eagle (J. Gosden) on nursery debut at Wolverhampton (1m1f+) in November; debatable as to whether or not she really stays 1m4f on the evidence of her most recent start at Doncaster; stablemate of Jazz Hands.

Tailed off on handicap debut at Southwell (1m3f) last week; dam is clearly a stamina influence; difficult (nigh impossible) to build a reasoned argument with regards his chances in newly-applied cheekpieces; look elsewhere.

7/1
Camelot gelding; half-brother to the 1m4f winner Wallflower; lowly-weighted after three essentially modest (and swift) 1m juvenile runs; no real surprise if he ups his game considerably on handicap debut over a more suitable 1m4f trip.

Off the mark at the ninth attempt at Musselburgh (1m1f, good to firm) latest, beating the heavily supported Bellepower by a neck; 2lb higher (negated by a 5lb claimer); stamina to prove; stablemate of Fantastic Ms Fox.

Forecasts

Lincoln Tale (5/2), Nordano (4/1), One To Go (6/1), Fantastic Ms Fox (13/2), Homesick Boy (7/1), Land Of Winter (7/1), Jazz Hands (8/1), Junior Rip (8/1), Mukha Magic (11/1), Agravain (20/1), Flo Jo's Girl (25/1), Jean Merci (40/1)

Verdict

Richard Fahey utilises the very handy 5lb claim of Sean Davis aboard the recent Musselburgh scorer Jazz Hands which effectively means that the gelding can compete from a 3lb lower mark (was given a 2lb rise). However, he has stamina to prove over this 1m4f trip and might be worth taking on at the projected odds with the Mark Johnston-trained NORDANO who bumped into a useful rival on handicap debut at Wetherby (1m6f). Furthermore, keep a close eye on both Lincoln Tale and Land Of Winter in the betting exchanges, as it's entirely possible that a much improved showing could be forthcoming over this extended 1m4f trip (based on pedigree).
  1. Nordano
  2. Lincoln Tale
  3. Jazz Hands
