Pick of his hurdling efforts was a third at Fakenham in December but not as good since though Flat runs since have been up to scratch. Needs to improve under his welter burden.
Regressed quickly when trained in Ireland and has continued that trend in three runs over fences since joining current yard at varying trips. Now goes over the smaller obstacles for the first time since 2016 but needs them to revive.
No sign of ability in six runs split between Flat and hurdles and needs to show massive improvement on this hurdling bow.
Dual Flat winner is now regressing under both codes and has been tailed off on his last three starts. Now needs the first time blinkers to inspire him.
Missed 2018 but showed her best form since return when fifth in a blanket finish at Warwick last time and may have more to come so worth consideration.
Showed the anticipated improvement when scoring on first run for top yard over fences here last month and now returns to hurdles. Bit more to do off the revised mark but no shock should Skelton get more out of him.
Ran poorly last time but did that last year before taking this race and off a mark just 2lb higher has to be taken seriously. Won't mind what the weather does.
Got a 10lb rise when springing a 20/1 shock here in November and has generally struggles since but now back on that winning mark and has place possibilities.
Tailed off when the subject of a gamble when last seen and changed yards since . Lots to prove at present.
Forecasts
Istimraar (11/10), Camaplu (7/2), Stormingin (4/1), Gin And Tonic (8/1), Golden Cannon (9/1), Sizing Scorpion (33/1), Another Go (33/1), Given Name (40/1), Chance It (40/1)
This is tougher than the chase that ISTIMRAAR won on first run for the Skelton team last month but the suspicion is that there is likely more to come and he can follow up. Gin And Tonic is likely to give it a good go in a bid to repeat his win in this 12 months ago. Camaplu shaped better in a tight finish at Warwick last time and she can hit the frame.
- Istimraar
- Gin And Tonic
- Camaplu
